no I wouldnt say that's true. She had a lot of absences towards the end of the run, some of that was I think Covid related. But it's inaccurate to say she barely ever bothered to show up. She loved Funny Girl and playing Fanny.
It's also wrong to say that Julie Benko closed out the show. The final performance already happened at the beginning of September, which Lea closed out.

Still kinda rude, but I would have been annoyed if I was trying to shop and the store was being swarmed with paps and secret service who refused to have basic manners.

And his writing has gotten worse.
I’ve honestly experienced/witnessed some of the nastiest transphobia and biphobia from cis white gay people. It’s really really gross, and they are far from immune. Murphy’s “snarkiness” has always struck me as very mean spirited…even the early seasons of Glee, there’s a lot of cruelty underpinning all of the “jokes.”
They are just deflecting, in bad faith. Everyone knows there are plenty of gays who discriminated against trans people, Ryan even briefly showed that stuff on Pose. I met Emma Roberts years ago at the Harry Styles LA afterparty, it was right by the fancy restaurant next to the Bourgeous Pig. She was smoking cigarettes with Jon Hamm. She was SO nasty and rude. She was so rude that Jon Hamm apologized for her behavior and started scolding at her after we left. It was the weirdest celebrity encounter I've ever had but I've had a sour taste in my mouth since.

I’ve honestly experienced/witnessed some of the nastiest transphobia and biphobia from cis white gay people. It’s really really gross, and they are far from immune. Murphy’s “snarkiness” has always struck me as very mean spirited…even the early seasons of Glee, there’s a lot of cruelty underpinning all of the “jokes.”
They are just deflecting, in bad faith. Everyone knows there are plenty of gays who discriminated against trans people, Ryan even briefly showed that stuff on Pose. Yet then plays into the exact same stuff, except now it’s cooler and financially better for wealthy privileged neoliberals to tokenize and profit off of these people and use them instead of just outright ban and discriminate them.

Angelica said as well that another cast member brought up Emma’s behaviour on set that season and that they were the one to receive repercussions for doing so instead. I can hazard a guess who that might have been. Also in another video, it was also said that Emma was allegedly fishing to find out how much the rest of the cast of that season were making and was making it known that she was earning the most per episode supposedly.
This is why they say C/B list actors can be worst than A list actors on set. When you don’t have anything else lined up (movie gigs), they put on a defense mechanism that causes them to use their tv gig to bully the D list actors in-order to appear bigger and more famous than they actually are.
i really want to know how that person was retaliated against. i hope that comes out even if the persons name isn’t said bc i’d like to know how badly they were treated. maybe if it gets enough buzz something can be done abt it & it’ll help the future small actors

Speaking of AHS 1984, I would love to know what the deal was with Zach Villa. I vaguely remember seeing people say that he made Emma uncomfortable on set but iirc most, if not all, of the cast unfollowed him asap and Ryan Murphy doesn’t seem interested in bringing him back. On top of that, there were some allegations made about him that keep getting scrubbed so I can’t even pull them up but it was about him grooming fans on Twitter.

Emma Roberts is one of the reasons I quit watching AHS. You can feel her mean girl personality leak through the screen because she’s a horrible actress playing herself. And because she’s one of Ryan Murphy’s faves, he just kept putting her in more and more stuff and centering things around her character.

This is so appalling. Especially given that I think that AHS 1984 was the first time I saw a trans actress play a human character who was not specified by the story as trans. I've seen trans actresses play trans women (finally!) and I've seen them play aliens, fairies, whatever otherworldly things (at least it's a paycheck) but I was so happy that Angelica's association with Ryan Murphy and Pose was letting her start to get in the mix for ALL sorts of roles as an actress. Guess I overestimated his support for the community.
