"Bean began dating actress Georgina Sutcliffe in 2006. After cancelling their planned January 2008 wedding on the eve of the ceremony for "personal reasons", he married Sutcliffe at the Marylebone Town Hall in London on 19 February 2008. During allegations that Bean physically abused Sutcliffe in 2009, domestic disturbances resulted in the police being called to their home in Belsize Park on three occasions."
Yeah they divorced two years after getting married and he went on to marry a woman 30 years younger than him (and 10 years younger than Georgina). This couple allegedly threw wine at each other on a flight, so.
You are right, but this happened twice. There are different ways of detaching yourself from “toxic women” when these things go down. I don’t think Sean has been strait forward with attempting these options because his behaviour his patron at the bar, who was in the right, was treated the exact same way. You go into someone’s establishment they tell you stop smoking so you fight them….. his job is to walk away, that’s it. If he can’t do that in a public place with a dude just a strong as him when he has no standing, what is going through his head when someone talks back to him in his own house. Dude has a pattern of bad behaviour. He is amess
Famously stormed into the dressing room of his football team Sheffield United after they were relegated to confront their manager Neil Warnock, not a man you want to mess with, and shouted abuse at him in front of his family (wife and young kids)
Like a lot of Hollywood men, he's an egotist and hugely entitled. He has this "good guy" reputation but its built on nothing than the charisma he acts out in film.
10 or so years ago he got into a bar fight because someone made a comment to a woman he was with. There's a lot of unhinged guys with bad tempers and fantasies of hurting other people that use fake chivalry like this. "Oh you said something about a lady, now I have social approval to be exceedingly violent."
Bean literally chased after the man who made comment. He wasn't defending her, he was looking to get into a fight.
His fourth wife, Georgina Sutcliffe, claimed physical abuse and had him arrested a few years ago. Then later arrested again for making harassing phone calls and sending abusive text messages to her.
edit: also its annoying to google this stuff because the top results are people on reddit calling him a 'man' and a 'lad' for getting into this bar fight (and of course ignoring his abuse of Georgina). A lot of women who had "chivalrous" defenders ended up hurt or killed themselves because the "chivalrous" man escalated violently and created a dangerous situation for her. I don't know how to explain to these men that picking fights with strangers isnt actually protective of women but instead its incredibly dangerous for the woman they claim they are protecting.
Yep, totally the same energy. In the case I mentioned above, the man who made the comment was just apparently passing by. Bean lost his temper and chased this guy and the guy got away. Maybe Bean hit him during the chase, we don't know.
Now the guy is enraged. So he came back to the bar later, found Bean, and they had a big fight where the guy broke a bottle and stabbed Bean with it.
Bean created all of this and endangered everyone with his machismo and temper. Instead if he deescalated or didnt chase the guy, I doubt any of this would have happened.
I'm not defending him at all...but did you see the pics? Why does a bouncer feel the need to choke out an elderly man at his table over a vape? That's kinda crazy.
he's a healthy and fit man. He can still throw punches, break a bottle and stab someone, etc. You have no idea what happened before this. One witness called it an incredibly chaotic scene. It wasn't some bouncer bullying an older man. Bean has a history of domestic violence and bar fights and generally being a belligerent and violent person. More than likely he got physical and the bouncer is trying to control him.
Maybe because a lot of teens and young adults who have never smoked suddenly habitually vape? It's good for prevention, but that's not how it's marketed or used most of the time.
One witness who was at the bar described an **incredibly chaotic scene**, having seen the footage, the *Game of Thrones* star is heard shouting
"It is not yours save by unhappy chance. It might have been mine. It should be mine. Give it to me!'"
This was in reaction to his precious vape being taken. Sean Bean's representatives at M.T. have declined a statement as of this publication.
Ned Stark was 34 years old in the book. Loved Bean’s portrayal of the character but they did the story a disservice casting a 50something year old to play one of the baddest dudes on the continent
how many times has he been accused of domestic violence and threatening violence to his exes? at least 5. this vape meltdown is not surprising, just surprised he stepped up to a man. what a fucking clown
He was also really creepy about intimacy coordinators. He said they "ruin the spontaneity of sex scenes" like that should ever be a fucking thing in the first place. Rapey af.
Yeah.. that does sound badass, whereas this just sounds like he's an entitled twat who doesn't feel he should follow the same rules of common decency that other people follow.
If he’s not careful, the “Sean Bean always dies in movies” meme will eventually become real life.
How can he still be getting in violent bar fights at 65? I thought that went away with age.
If you watch the video it looks like the bouncer is being overly aggressive towards Sean Bean (who is trying to calm the situation down). The bouncer is literally screaming into his face and pushing his hands against him, Sean Bean on the other hand is relatively calm. This is such a bullshit story - I hate the Daily Mail.
The bar for men is in hell and few things scare me as much as a violently entitled older man. Heard he’s abusive to his wives. Wouldn’t surprise me he’d act out at a bar.
Dude, why are you 65 and behaving that way (and vaping) ?!? Pathetic.
Yeah definitely wasn’t expecting this from him honestly.
He's a known wife abuser. This is in line for him, sadly.
Oh man really? :( that makes me so damn upset to hear. Won’t be supporting him anymore then.

:( man this sucks. I feel so bad for Georgina. I’m assuming she got away and is doing better now?

Oh repeated behavior. Yeah he’s just a bad person. Awful to learn, but great to know because I dislike supporting abusers.

I wonder if that's why he gets written into being killed off in a lot of the movies he's been in...
Boromir, it tracks ✅ Aragorn would never!
He’s barred from at least 2 pubs in London that I know of for similar behaviour. Not out of character at all.
Same here. I’m disappointed.
I am too. Always thought of him as a stand up guy. This is juvenile bullshit
He beat his wife in 2009 tho
Clearly they didn’t know, or they wouldn’t think of him as a standup guy
Exactly. Now I won’t be supporting him thanks to other users on here. I’m very thankful as I dislike supporting awful people
I didn’t know because I don’t frequently look up what celebs are up to. They hold no meaning to my every day life.
Well the dude is a wife beater so this is just par for the course.
Nah it's expected.
He’s been kicked out of pubs for similar behaviour in the past. Shame really, I like his work, but he seems like a prick.
He lost his job as a teacher several decades ago for punching a student who had done something to a woman teacher. He has always been like this.
Yikes. I see he’s been married 5 times too. I guess we know why.
literally the stark opposite of Lord Eddard Stark 😂🤡🤓📖
...okay but. Like what did the student do to the woman teacher.
I need more info on the story, I might allow it

It's giving Begbie in Trainspotting, "this lassie got glassed and no c*** leaves till we found out what c*** did it", after having thrown the glass.

This is also the asshole who said intimacy coordinators "spoil the spontaneity" of shooting a sex scene.
Holy crap I never knew any of this about him.
Waiting for the obligatory „I have learned from this“-apology
“This is not who I am”
That's soldiering.
The outburst I had at JoAnn's Fabrics is not reflective of who I am.
I'm not defending him at all...but did you see the pics? Why does a bouncer feel the need to choke out an elderly man at his table over a vape? That's kinda crazy.

He’s behaving like how a disrespectful teen would act towards their parents who tried taking their vape
Boomer doing boomer things

That's why I encourage everyone to just go back to smoking like a real adult

He died 30 minutes later saving some kids from yutes with knives
> yutes what’s that word?
Lucky man hasn’t had the displeasure of hearing kids from Toronto speak

Goddamn, man's a poet.
It's giving Bilbo when confronted by Gandálf the Ring
the one vape to rule them all
Big succulent Chinese meal vibes

remember when he shit on intimacy coordinators?
oh yes, this guy sucks and keeps getting all the chances!
Came here to say this as well. Such a telltale sign of general asshole behaviour
Like… literally?
He was also really creepy about intimacy coordinators. He said they "ruin the spontaneity of sex scenes" like that should ever be a fucking thing in the first place. Rapey af.
65 year old acting like that? Embarrassing.
I always thought that. Acting like that means beans don't do accents. One monotonous Sheffield voice for all.
One does not simply tell Sean Bean off for vaping…
https://i.redd.it/5oq02s9whr4d1.gif
“And…Action!”
Is it just me or does this happen literally every year? Like, happy Sean-Bean-being-a-dick Day to all who celebrate i guess
Misread that as Mr.Bean
Lmao imagine Mr. Bean gesturing wildly and making all kinds of noises for his vape
Then mocking the bouncer and giving him the most ineffective slap, only to be literally tossed out
![gif](giphy|116WjShb7DL3vq)
It’s a bummer he’s a jackass, he always seemed likable to me.
Not surprised. I remember years ago he was knifed in a bar, refused first aid and continue his drinking.

he beats his wife so maybe he not the stand up guy you think he is.
Yikes, bruv
Seen Bahn is gonna break a hip over a fricken vape pen.

Seriously. Every one in the comments is lambasting him. Dude was choked over hitting a vape and doesn’t appear to even get upset
He's always been foul
Total trevelyan move
Haha got a good laugh from this

One does not simply ~~walk~~ vape into ~~mordor~~ a bar
honestly this bar is a total dive and EVERYONE vapes in it. kinda feel like they targeted him BC of his name lol
Wish I could say I'm surprised.
*insert Northern accent* “BASTARD”.
I confused Sean Bean with Sean Gunn, who played Kirk on Gilmore Girls 😳🤣 ![gif](giphy|3ohA2Rn2ClMELH07cI)
I was very disappointed in Sean Astin for a minute.
Well his fans certainly had me fooled until I saw the tea in this thread
"For England, James?"
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
He once slipped his number to my young colleague (23) at a bar. He’s always been a creep.
What in the Lauren Boebert is going on here?
I hope they were careful! Broken hips can be fatal to old people!

God that's embarrassing. Imagine still getting into bar fights at that age.
Alcohol does NOT agree with this man. A real shame, as by all accounts when he's sober he's a decent guy.
Big fan of Sean, flaws and all
