Also Fagioli, done a Barca career mode once and he was just terrible. Ilias, done a Las Palmas career mode and sold my good winger and needed someone. I remember signing Ilias as a free agent in fifa 23, I think he was 83 rated and he was really good. But this time he was terrible, couldn't shoot, couldn't get past the defense.

Tbh I wouldn’t sign any of the elite players in our current era for two reasons: 1) I like the challenge of building a squad that doesn’t rely on the elites. 2) I’ve done a few managerial careers and numerous times my 10 year old son has said “oh you should sign him……” when I’m going through my scout reports and it may show high salaried and/or high OVR players but as I always do a career with smaller clubs it’s never financially possible. There have been some players he’s recommended who I’ve never heard of and it’s suddenly making me feel very old.. Now I know how my dad felt when I was my sons age. 😆

Not exactly the point of the prompt: but as a personal rule I never sign players who I’ve signed in other play throughs. Even if they’d be perfect! Forces you to take chances on and scout new players. Keeps you from getting players who you know are guaranteed stars.
