How's your relationship with the board? Most boards in this game don't seem patient enough to wait 8 seasons. Bet it felt amazing after putting in so much work.
Pretty good actually! In my 7th season they wanted me to achieve Europa League spot which I wasn't able to as I finished 9th.
However I achieved all my financial, brand exposure and youth development objectives so that was good enough. My board rating was almost always above 80
In my 8th season my objective was to finish mid table (I was shocked) but actually ended up winning the league!
Haha yeah it can seem pretty random. From what I understand, If you're in the red (69 and below) then you're living on the edge.
But that's where the high, medium and low priority objectives come into play. As long as you achieve some of the higher ones you're usually safe
50 is when they start considering your future and call a board meeting. You will notmally survive it but will be on borrowed time. If it then drops below 45 you're porbably gone.
I made it to the end of the first season in my FG rebuild right after we barely missed promotion and they booted me. I'm on my 2nd season with the Bristol Rovers and got to League 1 and they almost fired me. I guess clubs just don't give a shit if you win when you're not both building your roster with long term youth replacements and also selling any youth player worth more than a million.
Even fake companies would be cool, or adding a whole sponsorship feature to the game with contracts that could give you money for reaching certain objectives
The whole create a team was so half assed. The fact that you can’t even edit your crest and put your club’s name on it should be an embarrassment for EA. Unfortunately for us though they have no shame.
I miss the font in the kit too. When we play with q League Two team and get into PL, we get the PL font in number and name, but not with a created club
Even if they just did it like NBA 2k where people can make there own and upload them on to a shared database and people can download and use them if they’d like
4 seasons
Started in league 2 got back to back promotions.
Lost play off final in Championship so had to spend another season there.
After I made it to the Prem I finished 15th, 4th, 9th and then 1st
If I'm being honest yeah I did to some extent. I wasn't expecting to finish that high nor was I aiming for it.
Surprisingly enough I had 61 pts at the end and 9th place had 59 pts, so it could've gone either way
My first prem I finished 17th, but the 2nd one I won it. I still feel great, the challenge is to win treble, it's all about maintain your team stamina and arrange it. So I think it's fun
Has anyone else had the ridiculous financial objective of getting 300+ million profit in the first season and it was high priority? I had a club where the entire team was worth maybe 100 mill and still had to get a profit of I think 250 mill
Yea it's fucken insane. And they want me to sign 2 players under 20 with high potential and sign older players to raise my average squad age to 28. And still want me to get I think 375 mill in profit
I had that one too but I never achieved it.
They gave me 3 seasons to increase the average age of players to 30 but it was medium priority.
I always have one or two objectives that I end up not bothering with. As long you get most of them done you're chilling
That's true. I'm doing a Milan career though... want me to win the league as well as reach the final of the CL. The financial one is top priority so I signed a good chunk of players to cover for any players that might leave. I have a strict selling policy.. no transfers to Barca, Liverpool or United because fuck them and go City
Did you ever get job offers from any other clubs? I'm not talking about going and looking search jobs, i mean did a club ever email you and offer you a job?
That never happened to me in FIFA 22 and I played a lot of careers, used to happen in previous FIFAs more, I would love to see more of that, it would make journeyman careers a lot more fun, also what would make them more fun is if AI clubs had at least somewhat realistic transfers, it’s really bad when Real Madrid have Benzema, Lewandowski and Kane in season 2, for me that is the biggest issue with career mode honestly
No philosophy tbh, I just went with the flow. At the start I planned on playing a maximum of 10 seasons and kept a vague idea of what I wanted to achieve on my journey because I knew i wouldn't achieve all the goals I've set for myself. However winning the PL was my final goal and I got it done in 8 seasons so that's the end of my RTG.
Went in with zero idea of whom I'm going to sign. Simply identified which positions I need to strengthen and have depth in along the way then explored my options.
Nice mate, congrats. Do you use some rules regarding transfers and YA? Pretty good squad, not packed with OP players, even in 7th season. I love this, slow progress, keeping some players... 👏🏻😍
Thanks bud! I love playing with a more semi realistic approach. No specific rules as such, I never sold any of my main first team players throughout so I never had BIG MONEY to work with. The highest I had was 78 mil at the start of my final season.
With YA academy I only have regrets. Pineda and Moreno on my bench both had 90+ potential but I never gave them enough playtime sadly.
What I'm really happy about is I managed to keep 3 players from the OG squad. Wilson was always in the starting 11 and I have Aitchison and Hendry from the OG team as well.
I get you. But even without big money, you could have signed a few wonderkids along the way and a few big rated free agents aswell. Glad you kept your squad as realistic as you could, and to see Wilson still starting it's lovely. Not the strongest bench too, I really enjoy careers like this
i purposely put Portsmouth in league 2 got them all the way up to the premier league , then finished 16th and got sacked 😣, all my hard work and dedication to that team to end me like that
Damn.
The only time I got sacked was way back in Fifa 15 when I put Puyol in Gold Coast United and got sacked after a month cuz the club couldn't afford his wages.
Don't ask me what I was thinking cuz I wasn't lol

I finished two season with below a 60 and they “would be happy if I continued the work I started” so not sure how this whole system works

This is what I thinking too, the game logic don't wait too long to fired you.
Easy big man...we got it.

Only careers I've played in 22 so far have been created teams. Can you change your staidum each season with a real team?
Yes you can fortunately. The only real downside imo is you can't change the kit (unless you're playing create a club)
No sponsors on created teams is a bit disappointing too
missed opportunity for EA as well in terms of money (unless FIFA held them back from doing so)
Even fake companies would be cool, or adding a whole sponsorship feature to the game with contracts that could give you money for reaching certain objectives

On PC you can, just download fifa editor tool and mod manager, i play with Forest green too but with my own home, away and goalkeeper kit.
How long were you in the prem?
4 seasons Started in league 2 got back to back promotions. Lost play off final in Championship so had to spend another season there. After I made it to the Prem I finished 15th, 4th, 9th and then 1st
Did you lose any immersion by finishing 4th so quickly?
If I'm being honest yeah I did to some extent. I wasn't expecting to finish that high nor was I aiming for it. Surprisingly enough I had 61 pts at the end and 9th place had 59 pts, so it could've gone either way
I found a way to try to keep a more realistic outcome. Play 3, sim 1. Or whatever you want like play 4, sim 2
Funnily enough from all the seasons i have seen, whether it's real life or career mode, 61 pts is never enough to secure top 4. I got super lucky!
My first prem I finished 17th, but the 2nd one I won it. I still feel great, the challenge is to win treble, it's all about maintain your team stamina and arrange it. So I think it's fun
I guess it would be harder to win the prem simming than playing
True, often found myself losing to bottom placed teams when simming smh
Congratulations! I plan to play my RTG with them also, just re-making current kits and adding a third one as well.
Grats, loved my '21 career with them
Has anyone else had the ridiculous financial objective of getting 300+ million profit in the first season and it was high priority? I had a club where the entire team was worth maybe 100 mill and still had to get a profit of I think 250 mill
Haven't experienced this so far but heard plenty about these ridiculous objectives

Ahahaha I love that last bit Well met Cityzen
City all the way bro
Beautiful to see my home club up there! Contender for the worst premier league winning bench ever tho hahah
Hahaha most of the bench started in the lower 60s so they came a long way
Oh nice would you show me your squad?
Hey bud, it's there in the images!
Oh my bad sorry about that
Epic!
Thanks mate!
Is Çalhanoglu a computer generated player or is it Hakan?
could be Kerim from Schalke 04
Yess it's Kerim
Who is the calhqnoglu on lb?
Kerim Calhanoglu German fullback from Schalke 04
Kerim, he plays for schalke
Kerim, plays for schalke
You need to upgrade your bench not gonna lie. Great job on winning the league
Grats, loved my '21 career with them
Big Moriba fan
Solid lad. Got him for 70 mil in my last season and he really helped in winning the league
Did you ever get job offers from any other clubs? I'm not talking about going and looking search jobs, i mean did a club ever email you and offer you a job?

Nope didn't happen. Used to happen a lot in older fifas but hasn't happened to me once in Fifa 22
Damn because that's what I'm looking for to do hopefully lol. Started a CM with Cruz Azul.

The least believable thing about this is Everton's position lol
Ahaha yeah they had Sane, Rodri and couple other surprising big names in their squad

I played with Ipswich town in league 2 and won quadruple in season 4 😎 players from OG squad - Chaplin, Edmundson & Edwards 😎
