Depends on the size of the stream. Are you in tight creeks with lots of overhanging branches or do you have big wide rivers with long open runs? I’m in the Midwest with decent sized creeks and rivers and I run a 13’6” raven RV9, on some of the smaller creeks I have to be very careful maneuvering. Either way you want a light action 2-10 lbs between 10-14 feet in length.

It’s calm water with very good visibility, I would like to target perch or some type of whitefish like roach.
