I get how the repetitiveness can be annoying, but maybe something simple like "Thank you for the tip, I truly appreciate it and I hope you have a great day!" Hoping they have a great day is sort of a wrap-up, and it shows them that you're grateful for their tip. It's not mandatory and it's always good to thank someone for giving you extra money. I guarantee you that they won't see it as repetitive, but not saying a thank you can leave an impression that you're snobby or such, like you were only making talk before they payed you, you know what I mean?

Say thank you - they gave you more money than you asked for and it was in appreciation for your work. It's simple to do and doesn't need anything more than "thank you for the tip! it was a pleasant surprise to my day" or "thank you for the tip! glad you like the end result I delivered" or even..."thank you for the tip, I appreciate it" Edited to add: nope, won't harm your reputation, isn't a requirement, and possibly won't even be noticed by the buyer...was responding from my point of view which is to always be top of mind with the customer and if their last memory of me is that I said thank you, I'm good with that :)

Fair enough. I think it's just the aspie in me complaining about pleasantries 😂 Thank you!

Yeah, I saw that...which is why I gave you copy you could use :)

Say thank you anyway. Most people would be happy to know that there money is going to someone who appreciates it. I once tipped a guy who sent me a message back. It said that he hadn't gotten any tips since he started and he was very appreciative.

I always thank them for the tips. Shows your gratitude. Tip is optional, so if they spend extra money for me I will say something nice back.
