I think it looks good and better than black would. I’ve noticed that if you wax g1000 it gets a brown tint to it and looks dirty all the time. That patina look works better on other colors if you ask me like this purple. Also did you remove the fox patch?

I did remove the fox patch first. Need to try to sew it back on. Just bought some wax today. I've never tried relaxing a bag yet so it'll be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully if I screw it up I can get the wax off somehow and just leave it as is...or try again

I just waxed another jacket so if you have any questions reach out. A hair drier works best for melting Vs an iron.

Does the dye also tint the leather?

This bag had nylon straps. I took off the little leather tags before I dyed the bag. Need to try to sew it back on at some point.

*Dyed it a bit more using 'blue jean' color Rit Dye I had on hand. Wanted to use the reg Rit (vs Dyemore for original dye attempt) to see if the cotton on the bag would dye better. I can see the difference and I love the rich purple/eggplant it ended up being. The left side is the current color with the 2 dye attempts on it.
