You have an ST diesel in NY? Also, are you saying that a dead door control module renders the car dead? That doesn’t sound right.
Also: check the 50 amp BCM fuses. Have you tried putting the key fob in the center console to see if it starts?
I don’t have a diesel, the mechanic I took the car to is saying I need a new fob and this module, I was driving the car near my house and the engine shut off as if there was no fob in the car, replaced the battery and nothing.
I did not know you could do that in the center console.
I would check the fuses and try the console trick (and google “focus st key not detected”) before trying to find a hard-to-find part. I’m 99% sure that’s from the bcm and not the door module also.
I have a 16, the number for mine is F1FZ-19G481-J. If you give me the last 8 of your VIN, I can see if yours is the same, if not get you a part number
Edit: Actually, after some research. They all supercede to the same part number for all the Focus'. What I would do is go yank one out of the junkyard, they are gone in the Ford world completely. It also looks like I'll be running through the junkyard and grabbing a couple
I just saw you comment about the same part number I am needing however the one pictured above looks different from the one on the Ford website. Does yours with this part number look like the one posted above? Also is yours located behind your glove box or left back panel? \~Thanks
