Well that looks incredible....as a side note, I have been obsessed with caramelized onions lately. I'll make a batch and use them on everything. Normally, I'll only use a bit of salt and maybe vinegar, but I have also tried adding just a bit of plum sauce and that has worked really well.
Ok, as much as I love seeing a burger like that, I often wonder how does people eat that thing?
It's ok, I have the same reaction when I watch regular porn.
Aussie here, squish it down and its fine. They are messy but easy to eat. Also more common would be a 'standard' aussie burger which us without the egg and pineapple but keeping the beetroot, onions etc. Much less messy.
I am of the opinion that if I can't comfortably fit my mouth around your burger then you have forfeited the right to call it a burger. Same goes for sandwiches, tacos, burritos, and any other handheld assembled food.
This is definitely edible. Hard to explain but an Australian burger is designed for max squish. It will go down by at least half when you hold onto it tight. Also… maybe this is just an Australian thing but we can basically unhinge our jaws to cram stuff in. Seriously, think of all the famous Australians, they have giant mouths! These are required for huge burgers, but also mince pies and colossal salad sandwiches. You need to develop the ability to eat these things with one hand, no mess, or you’ll be deported .
yeah but if you go to any shopping mart, butchers, burger shop or cafe or any fast food, they are all cow. Kangaroo is a specific meat you have to buy.
My husky would destroy this. My old mastiff took down Big Macs in 2 bites. Husky takes about 5 bites. I can barely finish one in 5 minutes.
The Big Mac thing is what I get my dogs on their birthday. They get to go through the drive through with me and everything. Always healthy weight dogs.
I don't think I've seen pickled beets since I moved here to Australia. Back in the states, that seemed to be the default method they were sold, but doesn't seem common here in Aus. A search shows the product does exist, but for an Aussie burger it's just normal beetroot, such as tinned ones just in beetroot juice.

Looks amazing, but can a mouth even fit over that lol?
OP is definitely Shaggy and this looks soo good.
That's what she said
Not to you
lol nice one
We wrap it in greased paper (to hold it together) and the eater will squish it down to a biteable size
[удалено]
But we're not squeezing the juices out of it?
Goddam this should come with a NSFW
Actually it's NSW and it stands for New South Wales
Seconded.

Everything makes sense but sandwich too tall

Burger!
Man that looks amazing 😋🤤
Looks great but not a fan of burgers that are impossible to eat

Wide >>>> tall

That’s a heart attack I’d be willing to have
Perfect down to the finest detail
Finally, a dinner that can turn my blood to the exact viscosity of Vegemite
looks good. i do similar and it amazes me that would probably cost about £3 to make. Compared to the trash you pay £10 - £15 for
Confirming the presence of beetroot. Good bloke
Must be over east, beetroots seem impossible to find here in Perth (still got shortages because of the Nullarbor train line flood).
Yeah it was a mission to find some, I have pickled my own in the past.

Looks delicious
10/10
Looks great
Not going to lie that looks delicious I would totally devour that even though it looks hard to get the mouth round if you know what I mean
More beetroot! Delicious looking burger ❤️
This looks amazing, but we need pictures of how you physically ate this.
You little rippa
Personally, I'd 86 the avo, but that's just because I'm not a massive fan. But, damn, that's one good looking burger, and I want one now.

A Brian Adams burger!
Fried eggs over burgers are amazing.
Mmmm that's mouthwatering 🤤
I’d need something spicy on it like jalapeños! But yum!
I'm already getting shit for having the wrong cheese on it 😏 But I feel ya! I love a bite of heat in my food
Egg and pineapple combo is an odd choice.
Have to admit, I don't put the pineapple on my own, but my husband loves it.
I’d eat it
Is it true that instead of butchering cows for steak yall butcher kangaroos for steak?
We do both. Kangaroo is very lean with a slightly more gamey taste, but it does work well in patties.
Whoa! I went to school with this kid from Melbourne who told me they did but I thought he was joking.

Just to confirm, that’s ground steak meat and not a whole steak, correct?
That is a steak. Rib eye.
Nailed it
looking delicious![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|yummy).
Perfection
I follow an Australian Shepard dog page that horribly spams my Reddit so all the sudden, I see a Aussie steak burger, and my mind went to dark places…
Holy mouth-watering shit... Did you make this?
Sure did, for my Husband 😊
Looks fantastic!
whats the smallest animal that has that big of a bite? husky?
My husky would destroy this. My old mastiff took down Big Macs in 2 bites. Husky takes about 5 bites. I can barely finish one in 5 minutes. The Big Mac thing is what I get my dogs on their birthday. They get to go through the drive through with me and everything. Always healthy weight dogs.
You can't send that and not provide pics cmon now
We wrap it in greased paper (to hold it together) and the eater will squish it down to a biteable size
Had those before. Can't eat it casually have to focus on everything not sliding at the bottom. Even then it slides sad
For a brief moment I thought that at the bottom you had babaganoush. Nevertheless this made me hungry for a middle-eastern style burger.
Burger should be wider than it is tall :/ but yeah looks good…..just inedible!

Actually never thought of that . You might have revolutionised my burger world!!!
It's a magic thing 🙏everything stays where it should, and stays extra juicey
I only ever use grease paper for baking and cooking lol. Good tip!
Too much of whatever is going on
Yep, has the essential ingredient, a nice big slice of pickled beetroot!
Oooo damn! Boingkchickawangwang!
All went well until you said the P word.
It was the B word that made me lose interest
Lol... i missed that one 🤣.... with the B word and P word....this should have been NSF the Work
Where's the beet root?
If you look at the tomato on the right, you’ll is it sitting atop. Likely the pickled kind out of a jar

😩😩😩
Why is the pineapple on that god damn burger!?
The pineapple is not my fave either, but it's very typical on an Aussie lot burger. This was for my Husband and he loves it.
Bun ratio on this is horrendous
Looks delish! Not sure about the pineapple but I would def try it....
