Right? And from what I've seen from OP, the folks over there are only getting better and better and making firearms. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly interested to see what comes out of there in the future.
Nah, seeing the guy holding it in pic 2, the mag looks just slightly larger than regular .223 mag. Probably it's just the gun being slightly smaller than one would expect from bolt-action varmint rifle.
Any rifle can be a sniper rifle if your accurate with it. Simo Häyhä The White death used a mosin nagant with no scope single handedly handed the Red Army their own ass.

Folks in the Philippines have been producing firearms for a long time by hand. They hand make every damn part.. These guys in MY/burma are fighting a revolution of some sort. I don’t really know the situation what’s going on but they are starting to make homemade firearms & have been for a while. This looks like a pretty dang good bolt action…..
I’m gonna have to read up on what’s going on in Myanmar because ….I don’t really know.
You know exactly what’s going on if you live there…. There’s a lot of people that don’t know what’s going on.….. I’m guessing now would not be a great time to vacation in Myanmar…..
They gotta take whatever calibers that they have access to. I’m pretty sure all firearms are illegal in a meeting tomorrow unless it’s the military and police….. and that’s what they are fighting against apparently.
The only time they have access to weapons /ammo probably is if they import them into the country illegally or build them them selves or take them from opposing forces….
It would’ve been really cool if they would have made it compatible with 30 round P mags, still, I’m impressed. This is a hell of a nice rifle for a homemade weapon.
Okay at this point their level of quality and craftsmanship is getting ridiculous!
It's been surreal watching their weapons get better and better
It's straight up the Varmint Rifle from New Vegas at this point.
credit where credit is due , that is some good wood work

Yeah, it's the jungle DLC of Khyber Pass
Except it's actually good
Even if we can't import their guns, they have a bright future in custom stocks and grips.
ian's gonna have a lot of fun with this one
Video of the rifle being fired - https://fb.watch/fGu0iS7yNG/
Looks like it’s a well built sturdy rifle where the hell did they develop these gun smithing skills
They live in an area where there used to be hunting with homemade muskets and .22LR. So they already have the basic of how to make a gun.
Can’t wait until the war’s over and Ian McCollum can take a trip over to Myanmar
I love it
“How much checkering do you want?” “Yes” I dig it
They even added an ebony section to the atock. They have to export guns after the war
Caliber ?
The original makers said 5.56
Fucking small by the looks of that mag.
Nah, seeing the guy holding it in pic 2, the mag looks just slightly larger than regular .223 mag. Probably it's just the gun being slightly smaller than one would expect from bolt-action varmint rifle.
Yeah fair point, the furniture is fairly skinny which makes it weird to look at.
Where are they getting optics?
Shit, probably amazon/wish/alibaba
Where do I place an order asking for my damñ self /s
Up next homemade M2 50.cal
The woodwork on that stock is freaking fantastic. 😳
New Vegas called, they want their varmint rifle back Jokes aside that's some seriously impressive craftsmanship
The subtle checkering, my god it even has a watermark
They’ve been browsing the CZ catalogs for design inspiration 😂 Fantastic work right here.

I wouldn’t say one guy with a good sniping record really counts as handing them their own ass, he got blasted in the face and the Soviets won the war.
There was also some guy in China who did the same to the US and then became a fighter pilot
Where do I get one lol
Am I being dumb or is 400 meters pretty short
For a garage built rifle it’s pretty amazing. Also, since they’re in the jungle they probably don’t need much more effective range than that.
True true
This looks like an actual production firearm, goddamn

I would have said you’re full of shit if there wasn’t a picture of an Asian man thrown in there
What’s it chambered in?
You can see that they've put a lot of work into that bolt action. 10 for effort
what caliber is this in 223? also i love that star in the stock
Honestly, that's a nice looking rifle.
I love this. It looks factory
They are the next Phillipines
Why and what happens?

yea thank you for your time

You can vacation but options are limited compared to post-coup
god i really wonder how these myanmar guys would do with a proper machining shop and all. they’re getting REALLY good
Ikr. Unfortunately, these guys are still unable to do machining as their camps often had to move when major offensives from the military arrives.
Who manufactures such things? What caliber they use?
The one on the water mark made them. 5.56 nato.
Oh okay. I would think something bigger would be preferred though. .308. 30.06? Idk🤷
They gotta take whatever calibers that they have access to. I’m pretty sure all firearms are illegal in a meeting tomorrow unless it’s the military and police….. and that’s what they are fighting against apparently.
Oh I see. I understand. Rough when you have to fight a war with such limits
The only time they have access to weapons /ammo probably is if they import them into the country illegally or build them them selves or take them from opposing forces….
Damn. Feel for em
