Made me smile seeing someone else appreciating how gorgeous Fortnite is with its raytracing settings. I rarely switch to high frame rate settings in this chapter. I was blown away the first time I landed on the Olympus biome. The Underworld is a bit too dark with RT for me, but it actually catch the spooky vibes really well.
That's not supposed to happen buddy lol. I think maybe one of your components is bottle necking your performance, because that doesn't even happen to me and I have a 3060ti which is inferior to yours.
I really don't have a lot of experience with AMD processors, but knowing that Fortnite is a CPU intensive game, the issue likely lies on the 5800x.

I have a 12700k with 4060ti and 64gbs of ram and honestly I think the game should run better on my pc than what it does. It averages around 90fps with most of the graphics on epic or high with DLSS however it’s extremely inconsistent. Walking around spawn island and jumping from the battle bus it freezes or goes below 10fps. The pc version also has a frustrating amount of stuttering. Nothing worse than being in a fight and the game freezes for half a second. On the other hand the PS5 runs at 60fps but it’s extremely consistent. I’ve never noticed it dip below. Im kinda new to pc so maybe I’m doing something wrong idk.
Can I sincerely ask you what your graphics settings are? I have an i9-10850K, rtx 4070 super, 32gb ram & it’s installed on a m2, running it at 3440 x 1440, but I typically get into the 70s framerate, and boy do I get random crashes

I have a 4090 + 13900k, it's quite annoying how games always more optimized for consoles. on PS5/Series X, you can get 60 fps with Lumen + Nanite even at 4k (not sure if it's 4k native or upscaled 4k).
With my build however, I get between 85-110 fps in 4K at 66% res-scale. (But keep in mind that I'm playing on a 1080p monitor, so I use DLDSR to run the game in 4k, which is a bit easier to run that if I was directly playing with a 4k monitor)
Epic should implement DLSS 3.0 with framegen, it would add a bit of input lag but since I'm already averaging at 100 fps, it would only need to generate 40 more frames per second to reach 144.

You are delusional. For reference I am using an AMD 5800x3D, 6950xt GPU and 64GB RAM with game on NVME drive. I run max settings except for Nanite on 3440x1440 at a solid 144fps (tried the Performance mode but its too ugly for 600fps my monitor can't use) . PS5 will not touch that. No stutters or hitches of any kind. You either had a lower end PC or a very misconfigured one. PS5 and XBox X are similar to mid range PCs with their current hardware (PS5 does have the better hardware of the two iirc).

I had this same experience when switching to Xbox. However the input lag with KBM on Xbox brought me back to PC only for this game.
