I'm stuck on the last one. The first letter is definitely a P as it matches with "petza". The æ-looking character could be either. There are a couple of different forms of "a" in the note but none with a completed cap, and the others have a little lead-in stroke. I think it's probably an "e", loosely matching "petza". The third letter is a "t". The fourth is a "z" without the tail (look at petza - they do Zs like 𝓩). The last letter is an "a" with a larger gap at the top.
The final word is: *Petza* (pizza), presumably a non-stuffed variety).
edit: Spelling
OK, well it's not. The loop on the "P" is angled identically to the P from "petza" on the above line, just like the "t" and the "a". They're the same word. The only questionable letter is the "z", but since we already have an example of their "z", also in "petza" on the above line, it's an easy comparison.
I’ll keep an eye out! I’ve been working more in the back and the cooler the past couple days, but when I find one on the sales floor again I’ll definitely post it
I found 7 in one day once, but often I go days without finding any.
Best one I found was mostly written in Chinese and turned out to be basically a magic wish to materialize money.
That’s cool! I love finding them and usually just leave them in case customers come back for them. I work in produce so I think people set them down a lot to put apples in a bag or something and forget to grab them
Anyone else write ‘embarrassing’ things from your list a little sloppy and/or abbreviated?
If I needed colace, I would probably write ‘c lace’ or ‘cole’ and know what I meant when I got to the store
I guess I’m embarrassed about someone finding my list lol
My grandmother spelled like this, with similar mixed-up capitalization and lower case. She had to drop out of school at 15 and get married. She was one of the smartest and hardest working people I know. Thanks for the nice memory :)
Maybe the last word was their stab at writing 'poultice'?
Are there any apothecaries next to your local Aldi's? Maybe a shady mustachioed character with a top hat bringing his caravan of cures to town?
You realize that English is considered a pretty difficult language to learn as a second language, right?
And that learning English is forced upon people who have had to seek refuge, righhhht?
So, shush about the spelling, my dude.
Someone who likes to spell things the way their toddler pronounces them because it's more fun. Some word creations just stick and become funny household words.
I actually thought it was "Potato" but written very hastily, with one cross for both Ts.
I saw “?ce taco” but your guess is probably more correct than mine.
Aha - just saw this reply but yeah that's how I saw it but the ce as a little "a"
I also think it's potato!
I thought it said ‘ice taco’
I think potato is the most likely but I guess we'll never know.
That's the most intriguing part of this sub - we really won't ever know lol. Good find!
Compare the Os to the letters on "shampoo". It's not an O. The word is [pizza].

I reckon the first letter is a question mark, throwing everyone off

Aldie lol
It’s like Charlie Kelly’s grocery list.
I don't see milk steak or jelly beans. Or even cat food
Lettuce
I was thinking that, too. With a ‘?’ in because maybe price or quality could be a factor
It's like they were writing this while slowly passing out
I think the last one says ? Colace. Colace is a stool softener.

Oh heck no, I'm the opposite. I have "Bob's Ass Cream" right on there. 😅
clearly this person intends to buy a palace

Oh that guy? 🤔 it's possible I suppose 🤣
Wild guess, but what if the last one is actually ?oelace, with a long vowel mark over the a, and they were actually trying to write "shoelace"?
Pretty sure they had a stroke while writing this.
Last one says “tatare” (for tartare?) I think!
I thought so too.
It’s totally potato
Doddrant
You found that?

Last one was "? a taco"

stuffed crust pizza. Who can’t spell that
Someone with learning disabilities or English as a second language… let’s not be jerks
Don’t tell me what to do or say, that’s also being a “jerk”. Thanks
Maybe someone whose first language isn't English?
Lol Why wouldn’t they write it in their native language then? Getting spelling practice? cause they sure need it
that's probably exactly why. cmon man
I’d love to hear about all the languages you know and see how well you do in other countries.
Some people need spelling lessons others need human decency and etiquette
