Jenny Agutter was beautiful in that movie

scottabeer

Farrah Fawcett was in that movie. Her 1st. Role.

elguereaux

Right? Also you can see her boobies in the ice cave

oddlotz

Butt and boobies: [https://www.aznude.com/mrskin/jennyagutter/logansrun/a\_loagnsrun-agutter-hd-02-hd.html](https://www.aznude.com/mrskin/jennyagutter/logansrun/a_loagnsrun-agutter-hd-02-hd.html)

FartOnAFirstDate

I spent hours pausing and rewinding on my VHS player to that scene. Up until that time, I was very much a novice at the practice. Thanks to Jenny, by the time Fast Times at Ridgemont High was released, I had honed my rewinding skills to the point that I was a master!

roboticfedora

The cave was cold that day, my friends!

oddlotz

Still is as Sister Julienne on Call The Midwife.

erdricksarmor

In every movie.šŸ˜

ForswornForSwearing

Not only has my light gone red, not only has it started to flash, but the battery's dry...

RangerRick4971

Mine stopped flashing several years ago.

gwaydms

Mine fell out.

mpowell1969

HAHAHAHAHA

Moteltulsa

Mineā€™s turned to black.

ForswornForSwearing

(cue Rolling Stones guitar...)

ForswornForSwearing

Fun fact not many know: Jenny Agutter from Logan's Run plays one of the members of the World Security Council in Marvel's MCU movies (notably Cap 2 Winter Soldier).

imadork1970

She's also in American Werewolf in London and The Eagle Has Landed.

molassacrejuicebox

She also played Morgan Le Fey in a Camelot inspired episode of the 1985 Twilight Zone reboot. Whenever she steps in front of the camera, she is easy to look at, very soft upon the eyes.

imadork1970

Yep.

ponythemouser

She played Donald Sutherlandā€™s 18 year old love that opens his eyes in The Eagle has Landed, very good movie, and David Naughtonā€™s in An American Werewolf in London

Odd_Bodkin

And an old weirdo Aussie movie, Walkabout.

erdricksarmor

Walkabout is fantastic.

ForswornForSwearing

She was in Walkabout?!? I vaguely remember that. Skinny dipping in a billabong.

kkarmical

Did not know this..šŸ‘

ForswornForSwearing

It's been a long time, and she's still beautiful. šŸ™‚

20thCenturyTCK

Call the Midwife, too.

JBR1961

And very good in it, too.

CrossingTheStreamers

Childā€™s Play 2

Rossum81

Carousel!

Treacherously-Benign

Last day - Capricorn

arsed_Time_6969

"carousel begins" still haunts me.

MagazineContent3120

Renew!!

nashuanuke

THERE IS NO SANCTUARY

Glittering_Estate_72

This is what I was looking for

ratchetology

in the book

peterotoolesliver

Renew!!

SafetySpork

Beat me to it!

Tombstone_Shadow

I knew I was getting old when I realized it was Jenny Agutter playing the head nun on Call the Midwife.

JBR1961

God yes. :-(

CleanJebboy

Came for Farrah Fawcett, stayed for Jenny Agutter.

Sad-Corner-9972

Again and again.

Excel_Ents

Sea greens and protein from the sea.

Ok-Street7504

It's my job!

b-sharp-minor

More like the old guy who lives in the Capitol with the cats.

Which_Reason_1581

This is one of my favorite movies. Not going to lie!

iwastherefordisco

NO! \*feels lines on face\* Omg I've almost reached thirty...twice! :( thanks for the post...

gwaydms

"Those cracks, in your face... do they hurt?"

iwastherefordisco

it was the prefect line...she seemed so mystified seeing them

Connect-Will2011

I wish they'd remake this movie and stick closer to the book.

JBR1961

Hmmm, the PLOT, yes. Much better than the film. But in the book, the ages are much younger. You turn black at 21, not 30. The adult-rated plot elements are mostly involving middle to early teenagers.

edked

Yeah, the orgies full of 14-year-olds would not go over well if you put them in a movie.

JBR1961

But the book, while confusing at times, was a much broader ā€œworldā€ and story. And it was only recently that I learned there was a sequel.

crapheadHarris

Book was much better.

Blew-By-U

In the book the age was 21. In the movie they changed it to 30.

DependentAnimator271

Shortly after I turned 40, I received a solicitation to join AARP. I felt like Logan 5 when his life clock started flashing.

BarisBlack

You're lucky, the cemeteries and conservatoriums are contacting me.

NirstFame

If you are ever in Fort Worth is it SO worth visiting the Water Garden. Found myself there in the 90's on a trip and had no idea it was THE place from the movie. Just visiting what sounded like a cool tourist attraction.

erritstaken

Iā€™m flashing red.

Ratbag_Jones

Stale Soylent Green is old people!

bishop_of_bob

im am now very much an old man collecting books and pretty pics.

TheRealTK421

Gotta be honest, I'm pretty surprised that there's not been an attempt at a remake of this (yet).

Glittering_Estate_72

Gawd, don't put that out there! I was sick for 6 months when I heard they were remaking Westworld, turned out well (in the begining) but I hate having my era movies remade, 99 times out of a 100 it's shit and then you spend your life defending the original. Ugh, makes me tired.

Logans_Beer_Run

The source of my username. I bring beer to The City. They will cheer loudest for me at Carousel.

Own-Contribution-478

Fuck no! Carrousel all the way, baby! I'm feelin' lucky!

MinimumSet72

That movie scared the shit outta me as a child

kkarmical

Right me too

Yarg2525

My crystal went off a long time agoĀ

20thCenturyTCK

I went to the same professional children's school as Jenny Agutter. She was much older than I was, but when I saw her I was so excited. I'd loved her in "The Railway Children." So yes, I love this movie. I'm also from Houston, so seeing the airport and the downtown Hyatt cracks me up.

Fogdrog

I saw this as a double-feature with Soylent Green. A great memory.

Moteltulsa

That would make a great double feature.

sandman716

Inspiration for my user name.

Gilgamesh2062

We are beyond runners, we are the old guy alone in Washington.

Desperate_Ambrose

Either that, or we're all Bozos on this bus.

financewiz

This film foresaw the future of Tinder.

NiteGard

Jenny Agutter takes all her clothes off for no reason at all. I will never forget that scene. šŸ«”āœŒšŸ¼

duanelvp

She and Logan were both soaking wet and the elevator was heading into an iced-over refrigeration facility. They took off their clothes to avoid hypothermia (which was as good an excuse as any).

Jenjikromi

Aw, hell, I'm Peter Ustinov at this point

malepitt

That was a seminal film for me

Sad-Maintenance3422

Loved this movie. Brings me way back.

Sad-Maintenance3422

Farrha Fawcett was in this movie

Ok-Street7504

She was so popular back then they advertised it as a Farrah Fawcett film, she has two scenes and like maybe five lines.

Significant_Rate8210

Funny you brought this up... My wife and I just watched this a couple of weeks ago. My dad took me to see this in the theater. Great memories

Plus-Lie1462

Gary Morgan, the guy who slides down the concrete to confront Logan in the tunnels with his gang, was an old friend and mentor of mine. He also played the dog in Cujo, not even shitting.

Cold-Inside-6828

This was unedited on TBS or TNT when I was in my early teens. Many feelings were unearthed.

Alarming_Serve2303

I participated in a run. I was a Sandman. We had it during a science fiction convention at the old Ambassador Hotel in L.A. (That was one fun place). We chased each other through the halls and up and down stairs and elevators. I thought a runner was on an elevator so I was waiting as the doors open, my weapon (a rubber dart pistol) was pointed at the cabin. The group of German tourists who almost shit themselves was a sight to behold. The runner had taken the stairs. I later tracked him down and nailed him in a stairwell.

3141592653489793238

I am amazed we havenā€™t yet had a shitty remake starring The Rock and Sydney Sweeney.

evilBogie666

Fun note, (I think) Tesla uses the car seat under from Loganā€™s run to make their cars more audible.

[deleted]

I own this movie. Watch it once a year.

imadork1970

There Is No Sanctuary!

ActuallyAlexander

Behold the dystopic vision of several malls in Texas.

Dry-Airport8046

The Firey Ritual Of Carrosel.

Just-Damage-5263

The first thing I thought of at the end of the movie is everyone is going to die from exposure and starvation in the real world without any survival skills.

Scared_Walk5078

Great Movie

blueboy714

I am way older than 30 years old, so are we ineligible for carnival now?

Striking_Reindeer_2k

Where Jenny runs, we follow. Amazing... um.. wardrobe.

Prickly-Prostate

I hate outside

TemperatureTop246

I rented that movie for my 30th birthday :D

Zaphod-Beebebrox

Just watched this the other day...

Strawdog1971

I'm about to turn 28 so I have a little time to formulate my run

This-Bug8771

Carousel!!!

elmaki2014

Running? HA! I'd be lucky to hit an ambling speed tops... with plenty of sit downs too

Arn_Darkslayer

RE-NEW! RE-NEW!

DryDesertHeat

At this point I have grandkids that are runners.

gadget850

If the remake is good, I hope they do the sequels.

Independent-Fall-893

I loved this show so much I "changed" my name to Logan in kindergarten! I made everyone call me that for almost a year.

LadyHavoc97

We have this on DVD. I may need to pull it out this weekend.

Frequent-Material273

"...there is no Sanctuary....there is NO Sanctuary...."

Pitiful-Ad2710

Jenny is still running in her outfit in my dreams

Which_Reason_1581

Fish and plankton. And sea greens, and protein from the sea. It's all here, ready. Fresh as harvest day.

Stanton1947

Jenny, Jenny, Jenny...

mdwstoned

Literally watched it two days ago.

Informal_Funeral

Coming up on 28yrs as a runner

Seahawk124

You'll never take me alive!

CreepyMaleNurse

"Fish, plankton, sea greens... protein from the sea!"

briank3387

I ain't exactly running anywhere these days.

dweaver987

A slow trot on a good day.

Creepy-Selection2423

Run, runner!

WakingOwl1

Been running for decades.

pogo0004

Take a run at Jenny no worries

ideletedmyaccount04

There are days where dystopian science fiction I learned in the 70s applies so apropos to my current life

OAKRAIDER64

Mmm maybe a 1/2 block fast walker

androidguy50

Oh yeah. Been seeking sanctuary for about twenty-five years so far.

justmisspellit

No. Weā€™re the old guy they bring back to the city

SCCOLA

Horrible. Walked out with my date.

Biscuits4u2

No way I'm sure I'll be renewed

taskmaster51

Not quite twice over but getting there

xmadjesterx

I put this movie on one night while working at Blockbuster. I had forgotten that PG was different. Luckily, the only customers were a dad and his young son. The dad just laughed, and the som had no idea what was going on

WHAMMYPAN

Blinkin like a motherfucker.

EricaOdd

I did not renew on Carousel. And I remember the TV series, too...

Glittering_Estate_72

the TV series.... oy vey

w1lnx

Been running since I turned green. Battery ran out after flashing red several years laterā€¦ _ages_ ago.

This_Bus_2744

I have the short lived series on dvd.

cmotdibbler

"Ya can't get away from a homer" - I think this was in the book

Zealousideal_Order_8

Muscle!

chuckles39

I'm a bit of a hobbler at the moment, dang sciatic nerve pain!!!

Scoxxicoccus

Some of us are cats...

dotplaid

No, we were all incinerated walking to the coffee shop like 20 years ago.

UnderstandingOk2647

I (57m) remembered it being such a great film. My wife hardly remembered it at all. So we re-watched it again - Man, it did not hold up. ; )

plinker_fma

If you see my fat a$$ running, you best catch up. Something crazy would be happening.

Senior_Resolution_20

I never found Jenny Agutter, attractive, until she turned 50, after that she grew hotter as she aged. Which is strange considering Iā€™m only a few months older than she is.

OAKRAIDER64

Same thing with Madonna

Immediate_Mud6547

No, Iā€™m a Sandman.

geronika

It didnā€™t age well. Funny thing I read the book but never saw the movie until it came on TV. There is a significant number of scenes cut when they are up against Box. So there is a lot of missed content. I never knew what happened until about a year or so ago when I watched the uncut version. I bet Iā€™ve seen the edited version ten times.

Alteredego619

Fish and Plankton and Sea Greensā€¦and Protein from the sea.

LayThatPipe

Isnā€™t that the ā€œRecipeā€ for Soylent Green? Yum! šŸ¤£

Wyzard_of_Wurdz

I should have been sacrificed 20 years ago...

doc_nova

Ugh dammit

phydaux4242

That girl spent the entire movie without any panties. It was glorious.

stevembk

Is this the prequel to The Island or City of Ember? /s

Consistent_Meet_5683

In the 80s and 90s it seemed like Logan's Run was on TBS or TNT or the USA Network regularly. I would watch it, irregardless of the point in the runtime, to the end.

Mtjacq

Iā€™m 39 and loved this movie as a kid, often times I will randomly say ā€œthere is no sanctuaryā€. Last year I watched Richard Pryor and realized there really arenā€™t any POCs in that movie.

christhelpme

Been running for 28 years.

myatoz

Thought that was such a cool movie back when.

zonayork

"She was the one.who wanted to rent Logans Run, the SEXIEST movie ever!" IYKYK

ChaosMarine70

God i loved this movie

Present-Ambition6309

Yeah, run to the toilet type running lmao

The-Wise-Weasel

I wore an Ankh necklace for years. ! The Sandmen will never catch me!

No_Joke_9079

I love this movie made from a book by 2 American authors.

Collarsmith

Nah. Not everyone runs. Back when I was still on green, I used to cosplay a sandman.

jase40244

I saw the movie on TV in the early 2000s in one of those "It's Sunday afternoon and we don't have anything better to show you" time slots. It was kind of stupid, but I was bored and didn't want to go outside.

TinFoilRobotProphet

Sanctuary my ass!

TheHrethgir

I've been running for decades.

Bluedino_1989

I love this movie, especially the TS Eliot references

DrunkBuzzard

Iā€™m going to renew

Feisty-Barracuda5452

ā€œClear Logan 5?ā€

chowd-mouse

Run, Runner! Iā€™ve always remembered that quote from the movie. Awesome movie.

HumbleAd1317

I read the book in one sitting (pretty much) and saw the movie later on. The book was better.

radiotsar

Nah, I'm Peter Ustinov.

elguereaux

Bring you fish, and PROteinā€¦and plankton from the seaā€¦.

starz4u01234

That film is sooooooo long. šŸ˜† šŸ¤£ ITS LIKE....STOP RUNNING LOGAN.

This-Garbage-3000

I'd run with Jenny

No_Use_4371

Y'all can drool over Jenny and Farrah, I loved Michael York.

yourheadsonfire

There is no sanctuary.

Ok-Safe7953

If I was in the movie it'd be called Logans Slow Walk.

Kalelopaka-

Been running for 28 years

Saruvan_the_White

That strip down scene where they were soaked and had to warm up, tho.

seeingeyefrog

Apparently there was much more to that scene but it was cut.

BuddyJim30

We'd all be dead for decades if the "kill everyone over 30" policy was enacted like in that movie.

BeagleTactics

ā€˜Proteins from the sea!ā€™

aifuego

"The Sexiest movie ever!"

papaeriktheking

A well-made remake please

TankApprehensive3053

The scene where they exit into the concrete waterfalls was the Fort Worth Water Gardens. I went there a few times as a kid. You could go all they way to the bottom step. I think it's fenced off now due to too many accidents.

ratchetology

lol..."the book was way better"...true...although i think max age change from 21 to 30 was a "little" more "realistic"... kinky sex houses as well

Des_mojo

Only if you were under 30

Cameronk78

Filmed in a mall in Dallas :)

WilliamBoimler

I made it to the surface

SomeOldDude73

This movie freaked me out, when I was a kid.

Basic_Situation8749

I remember the hype on this movie- and as a 12 year old boy loved the movie- I also remember the short lived tv show- Enter Sandman!!

Analytical-BrainiaC

Ahem, when I saw this, for Halloween, I bought half a dozen different Roman candles. I hollowed out a plastic Astro dart gun cause it was broken anyways, and painted it black, and stuck the Roman candle in where the rubber dart went . You can guess where this went, Me yelling, ā€œ Runner!ā€ Btw, donā€™t do this. You could hurt someone or start a fire, even though I didnā€™t, it is a distinct possibility and you could possibly do permanent damage. You have been warned not to do this even how fun it sounds. Gawd we were stupid back thenā€¦.

BlindUmpBob

Twice even

monkeybites

Loved this movieā€¦ I even had the soundtrack on LP.

cms116508

She was also in An American Werewolf in London, but I can't remember if she flashed at all in that movie.

White_Rabbit0000

You must renew

White_Rabbit0000

The best scene was the orgy scene but it was too short. Runner up was the lake scene when they first get out

InfernalDiplomacy

"But, I get my time back, yes? I get it back!"

bucebeak

Right.
