I still have a photo of my best friend and me wearing these on Twins Day in middle school, standing back to back with our arms crossed, with overall shorts (one strap hanging) and Chuck Taylors. 1992, we were soooo cool 🤩
I wasn't a fan of Warner Bros. cartoons, so those didn't catch my eye. However there was a punk rock Woody Woodpecker shirt that I still kick myself for not buying.
It may of started before but it stayed long after, I only read about the black Bart Simpson craze but never experienced it. I distinctly remember seeing these though, like for a while too.
That’s immediately what I thought of too. I wanted one of those so bad in middle school, along with a Fubu jersey (I am a nerdy white Southern person so this seems hilarious in retrospect)
I had a pair of their T-shirts bought from the WB Studio Store (I miss them) that were Looney Tunes characters in mugshots. Daffy Duck impersonating a wabbit and Wile E. Coyote's use of an anvil without a permit.
I used to have a poster similar to this when I was a kid. It wasn’t even something I bought or wanted; one of my relatives was like “you know what that 2 yo kid I’m related to probably wants? I poster of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy wearing hip hop fashion and posing dramatically.”
Think of it like a TikTok trend… inspired by a couple of teen rappers Kris Kross whose gimmick was wearing their clothes backwards. The lyrics to Jump are ingrained in my unconscious memory
When my car was in the shop, I drove a Rent-a-wreck to work for a couple days. It was a noisy little hatchback that featured a decal of Tweety Pie dressed as a gang banger. Cops would cruise by, very slow, and when the good officer saw I was a typical middle class guy, he just shook his head and drove on.
I was teaching community college, so I also got.strange looks from my students.
Disney did too. When I was a toddler in the early/mid 90s my Family went to Disney World and from there I got a T-Shirt showing Donald dressed as a skater (with a backwards basebal hat) and one of Minnie...kind of looking like Madonna did in the 80s (loose bow, lots of bracelets, early 80s-skater girl clothes)
1000% flea market gold in '93! Never bought any, but my friends were Puerto Rican and definitely had a couple of these, along with wearing jeans backwards.
If bugs and Taz really wear hip clothes, wouldn’t the characters on their shirt also be wearing the same shirt that they’re depicted on the original shirt on?
Kriss Kross will make you jump! jump!
The daddy mac will make ya...
Wiggity wiggity wiggity wack….
The miggity miggity Mack!
Don’t try to compare them to another bad little fad
It’s in the song…
You know I was continuing the song? I’m the mac and I’m bad, giving ya something that you never had.
Oh man. I used to know all the lyrics too.
![gif](giphy|NupHKw9kFaaEE)
FML. I definitely had one of these. Pretty sure it was the exact same tshirt.
Same. 😆 The good ole days 🕺🕺
This was my dress shirt
I had one too 🤣🤷♀️
Oh yeah, same here.
Guilty
It’s just missing the “WHAT part of NO don’t you UNDERSTAND?”
1992 Kris Kross " jump" bug's bunny " Backwards" collection
I still have a photo of my best friend and me wearing these on Twins Day in middle school, standing back to back with our arms crossed, with overall shorts (one strap hanging) and Chuck Taylors. 1992, we were soooo cool 🤩
My lord I forgot about the one strap overalls ( mine were shorts)
Poochie enters chat.
Finally! We’ve all been wondering, “Where’s Poochie!?” Now I just need to know when we’ll get to the fireworks factory.
He died on the way to his home planet.
You know there was a meeting with a Lindsay Nagle type of person pitching this concept. I'm sure she used the word "urban" a lot.
I feel we should rastafy him by…ten percent or so.
We’ve met you many times Ms Nagle. Why do you keep changing jobs?
I'm a sexual predator
Lol forgot this one.
One of my favorite lines in the series.
"Remember kids, always recycle..."
Yeah the SpaceJam phase.
Came here to ask this - appreciate the answer.
This was based off Kriss Kross (1992.) Not Space Jam (1996.)

And every middle aged suburban mom seemed to be obsessed with Tweety Bird for some reason.
And Tinkerbell
I wasn't a fan of Warner Bros. cartoons, so those didn't catch my eye. However there was a punk rock Woody Woodpecker shirt that I still kick myself for not buying.
Disney did it too. Hip Hop Mickey was sure something
Was this before or after the brief Black Bart tee shirt craze.
Or the Bartmon in Paradise tee where he’s Rasta
Omg forgot about that one lol
I wanna say slightly before but there was some overlap.
It may of started before but it stayed long after, I only read about the black Bart Simpson craze but never experienced it. I distinctly remember seeing these though, like for a while too.
I had one but mine was in black and white
Nothing says ‘hip’ than wearing baggy pants with your tail hanging out. /s
Why are their pants on backwards
https://youtu.be/010KyIQjkTk?si=MC7yYdgR3eKsg5qt Cause inside out is wiggity wiggity wiggity wack!
Word to ya mutha!
Lol that's Vanilla Ice.
I was just using a corny 90s line. I know it wasn't Kris Kross who said it lol
It works either way. IDK why people down voted you.
Because it was the cool trend for about 5 mins.
Dang I had one of these lol a forgotten memory until seeing this.
I had 2-3 of these with my cousins don’t forget the back of these babies 🤣
This right here...is apart of my life that was so amazing 90s was some of the greatest times of my life.....90s kids 4 life
Remember those Iceberg Shirts in the 90's, they had simple characters on them and they were $400
That’s immediately what I thought of too. I wanted one of those so bad in middle school, along with a Fubu jersey (I am a nerdy white Southern person so this seems hilarious in retrospect)
I think there were more bootleg Icebergs on the street than there were real ones, LOL.
I have this shirt at my parents' house!
lol I had that exact shirt
Those shirts were a must have for 10 year old me.
One of the other fads at the time was having those characters screen brushed onto a baggy paid of jeans.
I had a pair of their T-shirts bought from the WB Studio Store (I miss them) that were Looney Tunes characters in mugshots. Daffy Duck impersonating a wabbit and Wile E. Coyote's use of an anvil without a permit.
Even Disney took part in that general trend, look up Mickey Unrapped.
I have one w/ the Taz.
Lmfao I had that exact shirt and thought I was awesome .
I have this shirt, what it’s not cool?
And you'd see people with a "Taz" tattoo.
Hello, eighth grade, my old friend…
I just think its cool how the pants are on backwards so the tail goes thru the piss hole
Now all the hip cartoon characters are smoking a blunt in 2024
Everyone had this shirt. I remember getting the cheap version at Jamesway.
I have that shirt...😂
I just noticed they both have dreads sticking out of their hats
One of these tees with a starter hat and major damage jeans.
The pants are on backwards. Is that so their tails can stick out of the zipper holes? Or was this the style back then?

lol. I remember someone picking these up at local flea markets as a kid. Been awhile since I’ve seen em.
Their faces say "I'm packin."
I had the bootleg version... we were poorer then the other kids in da hood.
And the backwards jeans. Eww
I used to have a few of these back in the day. They were very cool, and very very bootleg.
These show up on The Eric Andre Show a couple of times. Lol. Nice little touch, lol.
This was my least favorite fad of my childhood/young adulthood
Warn a brother
I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky...
Weren't these all bootleg?
When my car was in the shop, I drove a Rent-a-wreck to work for a couple days. It was a noisy little hatchback that featured a decal of Tweety Pie dressed as a gang banger. These were usually bootleg.
The irony is that Bugs would instantly reject that shit in real life.
I had this very same shirt XD
My brother had this. Shirts do pop culture mashups like this all the time though.
This was the decade that ruined both the Tasmanian Devil and Animal from The Muppet Show.
How innocent though...I would love to go back to such a time.
Definitely had this exact shirt
I thought they had The Germs patches on their shoulders.
I had a framed poster of this that was given as a housewarming gift when I bought my first home. It has been regifted many times over the years.
Money grab
Anyone else work at one the Warner Bros stores in a mall? My husband is a Marvin the Martian fan and he has some really cool watches and memorabilia.
OMG I had that exact shirt 😂
I had Michigan J Frog! ![gif](giphy|8ymzCkeb0e2hG)
I had this shirt.
Tough tweety
I had the Yosemite Hippy shirt that my ex-girlfriend stole when we broke up.
Ah, that unfortunate period when all the cartoon characters had ‘tude instead of being funny.
I remember these years. Sooooo many thug Tweetys and blunt smoking Marvin the Martians.
I remember......it was tragic.
I had that shirt
Wasn’t Tweety Bird on these too? Man, you just unlocked a core memory.
Hispanic dudes still wearing airbrushed shirts like this today lmao
So wrong.
Jeans look backward
https://youtube.com/watch?v=010KyIQjkTk&pp=ygUQa3Jpc3Mga3Jvc3MganVtcA%3D%3D
Werent these bootlegs? They certainly started as such, if WB began producing them it was probably already over by then
Yea, pretty sure at the height of this they were all bootlegs. Don't think WB ever caught on fast enough.
I had this shirt. Also Taz dunking and breaking a backboard looking like orlando magic Shaquille O'Neal.
I recently started buying and wearing these because they're hilarious. 11/10 I get positive comments every time
Disney did too. The Warner brothers store in the mall
Space Jam website was still up for quite a while. Don't know if it still is.
o m g bugs has his ear pierced!!
they are wearing their shirts and pants *backwards* was this normal for "hip" people back then?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=010KyIQjkTk&pp=ygUQa3Jpc3Mga3Jvc3MganVtcA%3D%3D
ohh hip *children* !
Not sure about Warner Bros. but a guy used to sell these out of his trunk.
I had this EXACT shirt. Thought I was sooo cool, like Penny Hardaway cool.
I always thought these were unofficial flea market items
How can anyone not Love Bugs
Definitely had this shirt. And I’d totally rock one today.
I wonder how someone would feel growing up with them in the sixties every Saturday morning ![gif](giphy|QAsHga1AB6dIGUsui6|downsized)
I’ve seen this as a tattoo
I had this shirt. We loved that store. My whole family got Jean jackets from there. I had Marvin.
The awesome* period
I absolutely haaaaated this trend.
Bugs Bunny will ALWAYS be hip! Fight me.
Love the culture, hate the people.
Remember when people would spray paint t-shirts for weddings and funerals too?
I received a crew next sweatshirt with that on it back in those days it was so fucking stupid.
I think I had this bugs/Taz shirt! Ah, simpler times.
1000% flea market gold in '93! Never bought any, but my friends were Puerto Rican and definitely had a couple of these, along with wearing jeans backwards.
I had this shirt. The back of the shirt is their backs with their tails coming out the fly
I had a shirt similar to this in the 90s
I remember them...wasn't a fan tho as I'm a Baby Boomer.
Marvin the Martian had some fire baggie shirts like that. Taz too
If bugs and Taz really wear hip clothes, wouldn’t the characters on their shirt also be wearing the same shirt that they’re depicted on the original shirt on?
I had that shirt as a kid.
My wife got me one back in ‘93 which depicted the Tasmanian Devil ripping apart and chewing up a peace sign. It was so me. 😐
the spacejam soundtrack was dope
