Im honestly shocked I know people who are still pro GOP. They made it clear they don’t want to govern unless given absolute control, went as far as aligning themselves with white supremest openly, and openly break laws with little to no consequences due to their positions. Like most of their policy changes have been more government overreach or cutting protections to groups of people
Unfortunately, they are, and the fact that you can't see it means you have already been sucked into the identity politics and the alt right pipeline leading to fascism. Between all the culture war and the rest of the nonsense they spew, notice whenever there is a gathering of conservatives nazis show up and are not immediately thrown out. If you sit at the table with a fascist and you don't either force them out or leave, you are a fascist sympathizer, at best.
