I'd say Hoenheim cares as much as Mustang does, just seeing his original country wiped out and spending hundreds of years talking with souls in his head left him incredibly socially inept while also seeing a bigger picture the rest weren't privvy to.
I'm sure Mustang likes those boys, but c'mon it probably doesn't come close to how much their own dad loves them. Becoming a dad was Hohenheim's biggest dream, he was kinda just robbed of the opportunity to properly be one by circumstances that were outside his control.
The only other man in the series who might love the Elrics as dearly as their dad does is probably Sig Curtis, because here again Sig was robbed of his own opportunity to be a father and Ed and Al are his second chance at being one.
Yeah I don’t think she was grooming him. It’s definitely a little messed up, the flirting and innuendo, but she has a lot of issues of her own and it doesn’t necessarily mean her goal is to lay Shinji.
I know it's a meme and it's definitely messed up but what she did would not be grooming. She was trying to make him get in the fucking robot at any cost. She had no sexual desire toward Shinji
