Camera assistant app

The one in the store by good lock labs? Edit: yep, that's it and has a toggle for auto hdr. gonna mess with that and all the other settings

Droiddoesyourmom

Any findings?

mikmeh

Camera assistant app in the samsung store adds the setting to toggle auto hdr

Droiddoesyourmom

Did it fix your low photo quality though

Still messing around with it. [Here's a 200mp with HDR off](https://mikesaysmehsa.blob.core.windows.net/pics/200mp%20HDR%20off%2020240628_084412-2.jpg), compressed but I have the og 100MB file and the HEIC. Def doesn't "pop" like it does with hdr. [Same photo but with some lightroom editing](https://mikesaysmehsa.blob.core.windows.net/pics/200mp%20lightroom%20edit%2020240628_084439%20(1).jpg), oversaturated but doesn't take long to improve it. Even the simple editing and filters in google photos work well This guy's video is very helpful. [https://youtu.be/ZzYT7gyXw28?si=8V88zsH3lv\_zIphH](https://youtu.be/ZzYT7gyXw28?si=8V88zsH3lv_zIphH) (he leaves HDR on btw) I'm no pro like him but I have a 50mp DSLR and a giant telephoto lens for bird and wildlife photography so I'm used to editing those in lightroom to improve details and what not. I don't have an eye for composition but the occasional landscape pic I take with the 24u I'd like as natural and organic as possible allowing me to adjust it as I see fit.

Bro don't. The hdr gives them So much more life. It's ridiculous how much better they look with it. Just grab an older Samsung phone or whatever, use quickshare to send a photo over and compare the two devices. What might seem like a difference in display qualitiy is actually the difference between hdr off and on.

[My old S10+ did alright without it. ](https://mikesaysmehsa.blob.core.windows.net/pics/s10%20plus%2020240326_152721.jpg)

Nikolcho18

Of course it would! The S10+ is an awesome phone! But I'm talking strictly about the HDR thing. See, your S10+ also applies it, just doesn't display it in the gallery. If you send it to your S24U, you will see how the S24U makes the image appear a lot different. It looks majestic on mine.

mikmeh

~~I don't mean when displaying it on the phone, I mean when taking it. It shows Ultra HDR in google photos for example under info. The S10+ does not and looks more natural.~~ Camera assistant app in the samsung store enables a toggle for hdr in settings

Setting>Ultra HDR> switch switch off.
