It is standard 20mm watchbands. Unless you are putting on some bands from the 1920s that require you to use tools to put them on, I really don't see how it could take 20 minutes.
All Samsung original bands are quick release. Put one side into the hole, pull down on the pin, put the other side in. Takes about 5-20secs, if you fail the first time.
So if it really takes you 20 mins, maybe try looking up some tutorials how to put on watchbands.
There's a reason why all of these people are saying the same thing. The band for the WATCH 5 PRO is very different from the bands on previous Samsung watches and even different from the band for the regular Watch 5. When I first opened the box, I realized that I would not be able to figure this out without going nuts; so I immediately went for a tutorial and I was very glad that I did.
Are you using quick release bands? Do you have nails to grab the latch properly? If not using original bands, are you using the proper tool to get the pins in place? It's really not that hard if you can answer yes to these questions?
I thought they are standard 20mm bands?
I've found some are easier to put on than others. The Samsung silicon sports band is a pain in the ass but a couple of my other bands can be put on easily.
That said I do like Apples slide on mechanisms, Samsung could have copied that but i think that limits what bands you can have.
Yup the slide mechanism is a lot better. Also has a gapless design which looks wayyy better then this shitty weird wedge end. Just leaves a spot to collect dust and get dirty.
My mechanical watches have a sort of wedge as well so maybe Samsung were getting their design cues from watches?
I've an adapter for some of my bands that weren't gapless (adds the wedge to the ends of the bands.
Yeah it's really bad, I changed the strap on my watch 4 classic and it took me about 45 minutes. I can safely say I will not bother to try and change them again, not worth the stress.
lol, wtf are you on about? I'm wearing a GW4C right now, and it literally took me three seconds to slide the pin over, pull off the band, and put it back on. And that was the first time I've bothered doing it since I got the watch!
It was a metal band so was one piece that needed to be connected at both ends. I guess it's harder than two pieces. I guess because the pins are in the straps they vary in quality and some are harder to install then others.
Ok so slide pin to get the band off.. I get that. But how tf do you put it back on? I have to hold the pin extremely tightly and squeeze the band in a very specific way for it to go back in. GW5 pro.
You'll get faster! I change my bands in 30 seconds, I loop my middle finger om the bottom with my pointer finger keeping pressure from the outside kf the watch band pushing in, lower the clip and your pointer finger takes it right out. Reverse instructions for install
I had this issue and found out if the band has the plastic part that touches the phone so there is no space you need to install in from the bottom of the watch up and that way it's super easy to install them.
The thing is with the pin design. It's been recessed into the band itself since the 4C just enough so that it's more difficult to get to, even with your fingernails. I used to have a regular Watch 4 and had no issue there. I then switched to a 4C and definitely noticed it.
Then again, I actually have a different band in my 4C that's more sport-like with a red accent and lighter-weight, more similar to what you'd find in the regular Watch 4, and the pins stick out enough that it takes 2 seconds to take them off.
I guess the idea was to recess the pins since they "aren't used that much" and so that they "wouldn't press up against your wrist" (the latter of which has never been a problem for me).
Lol I lose my mind everytime I have to switch the stupid band
Had to try is it that hard. Took me 5 sec to take it off and about 15 sec to put it back
I don't have any issues with my gw4 40mm either

This why I stick to one band changing it drives me bananas ๐ Too bad canโt have apples slide in method much more easier

I bought leather straps for mine and put them on in abt 30 seconds
tbh it took me that amount of time the first few times but now i can do it easily, it's a matter of practice i guess
Cuz Samsung. Crap band pin design.
Like the design, gives it a normal watch look. Hate the sliding design of Apple watches, even though it is technically better.

They're just normal 20mm bands, it's really not hard to take them off
Its not actually

How did it take you that long? I have the same one and it takes seconds to swap them.

It's just you. Slide pin. Remove band. Put band back on. Three seconds. Five seconds if I take my time.

Use two hands.
Affirmative. ๐ญ
is your strap-end too thick on the watch lug?
The gapless bands are harder but those shouldn't take more than a minute or so. The other bands are easier. Metal bands can be tricky but not lengthy.
