If you use the app, you can usually get 2 McChickens (Buy one get one for a dollar passive deal) and a medium fry for like $5 (Get a free medium fry with any purchase above $2. The deal has been around for ages and doesn't seem to go away). Same with McDoubles but an extra dollar. It really isn't costly unless you spend your money in the worst way possible

And another one
They say they expire in 3 days but they almost without fail just refresh and come back immediately after

This is because McDonalds wants on your phone. It's basic tech business scheme for the last decade. Roll out a deal, and once you're dependant or not paying attention raise the prices.
No, the app price is the reasonable price.
Not only is McDonalds collecting your demographic, payment, and password information, but they collect other personal information: what you buy, what time you tend to buy it, frequency, etc. The app runs continuously on your phone -- they collect what websites you visit, your GPS location, etc. That app even has recording permissions.
Then, they share that data with their vendors and business partners.
SOURCE: their privacy policy
My favorite line is that they "don't sell your data for monetary consideration." Hahaha-- I've written dozens of privacy policies: if we don't sell data, we just say we don't sell data.
I would never put that app on my phone, at least not in the US where we have minimal data privacy laws. That data is going to a data broker. If you have a heart attack, it wouldn't shock me if your insurance company can deny it because you were to McDonalds xx amount of times for xx amount of years.
The solution to their prices is not to make a deal with the devil. It's to fight back and not eat their crap.
I might be wrong (Apologies, if so), but aren't the primary OS applications on Android and iPhone exactly like this in terms of invasiveness?
I understand wanting to reduce the amount of companies with access to your information, but I imagine with what's necessary to have a seamless experience nowadays on mobile, your data is already in the hands of many corporate giants, no?
Everything is invasive, you have to pick your battles. Not giving all your data to McDonalds seems like an easy choice.
I think it's important to realize that you're only getting that deal because you're partly paying by giving them your data. It's not a real "deal".
I think it's the repetition. you go to McDonalds in Zimbabwe and you have same fries same nuggets and coke. terminal is never broken. they are never out off fries
Then focus on meals that can be prepared quickly. I spent many years of my life on:
* rice and frozen dumplings
* protein shakes
* turkey or pbj sandwiches
Where there's a will there's a way
"Dumplings" lmao
With my grocery stores in walking distance the best ill get is some fress stuff that i dont have time to prep or frozen meals which srent all that better to mcdonalds on the site
>No everyone can or will do that.
Yes they can. But saying you can't do it is one step closer to making it a reality.
>Many people are living paycheck to paycheck and simply can’t afford to meal prep.
That's bs too!
One Summer I was broke af. With my unemployment check, I got a $15 bag of 20 lb rice, a couple pounds of chicken and a couple of dollar bags of frozen veggies from Wal-Mart and ate like a king that Summer.
If people are willing to spend money on bullshit fast food, then there's nothing stopping them from investing in a healthier and even more affordable option like I did.
The issue is that the fast food is addictive. The fast food, if eaten for an extended period of time, causes people to be sluggish due to the lack of protein and the food's affect on blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
They got stuck in a negative feedback loop:
1. Raise prices to maintain/grow profits
2. Fewer people order food
3. Profits do not increase as much as planned
4. Raise prices to maintain/grow profits...
To keep profit margins high. You could see it coming when several states raised the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Don't get me wrong, for an adult trying to survive and pay bills on time, that's still a pittance, but for a teenager working 4 or 5 hours after school, it's pretty outrageous. McDonald's franchises were not going to accept lower profits just because their labor costs increased so much.
Use the app and if you have someone else with you have them use the app too. My girlfriend and I do this all the time and use 2 deals or points at once.
Because people were fear mongored into voting for Biden. What happen? Biden gave us inflation. Your McDonald’s is now expensive restaurant food now with crap quality.
Yes I'm sure the president has control over companies. And I'm absolutely certain McDonald's is on our side, but they can't lower their prices, cause government force them. Makes SO much sense.
Slight note of sarcasm.

Because, despite all of the complaining, there are lazy people who will still pay too much for substandard food.

Yeah I get that, but since the prices get raised for everyone, might as well get in on the app if it isn't much trouble I suppose
Yep, the stupid people paying 8 dollars for a Big Mac subsidize my cheap burgers using the app.

And exploiting those of us w little time to cook
I think it's the repetition. you go to McDonalds in Zimbabwe and you have same fries same nuggets and coke. terminal is never broken. they are never out off fries
Is it really that expensive? My McDonald’s prices haven’t changed a whole lot
I got my kid an egg and cheese biscuit meal and it was $11
Corporate Greed, plain and simple.
Cause it's a scam.
Greed. Need to increase value for shareholders.
Depends if you're using the app or not as well as where you live. I can get a Big Mac, med fries and med drink for $6.49 a day in Boston.
Laughs in Californian
How much is a Big Mac meal is cali queen?
For a medium $11.84 & large $12.59 :’(
WTH that’s insane?? What the fuck???
Fr! We’re paying for their minimum wage increase Edit: and don’t get me started on how much a McFlurry is here!
Why even eat that bullshit?! A lb of ground beef, store brand bread and potatoes are much cheaper.
Way to not answer their question dick
I could answer their question, but I'd only be speculating. I thought some wise words would be much more sufficient in this situation.
No, it just made you look like an arrogant asshole dude
I yearn for a 20 piece nugget before a 315 squat
Because McDonald's rocks
You’re forgetting that ‘paying with time’ is a thing
Order groceries.... Meal prep. It's really not that difficult.
> Order groceries and meal prep And if i cant?
Then focus on meals that can be prepared quickly. I spent many years of my life on: * rice and frozen dumplings * protein shakes * turkey or pbj sandwiches Where there's a will there's a way
"Dumplings" lmao With my grocery stores in walking distance the best ill get is some fress stuff that i dont have time to prep or frozen meals which srent all that better to mcdonalds on the site
you'd be in a better mood if you had some dumplings ngl
Sure you wanna find the time to walk 2 or 3 hours to get me some?
hell yeah brother lets to it race you there
Im not a brother and i aint goin unless i get a paid day off unfortunately
Quick easy food. Not everyone wants to make food after a long day.
Meal prep.
No everyone can or will do that. Many people are living paycheck to paycheck and simply can’t afford to meal prep.

Yeah no. McDonald is in business because it’s quick and easy. You just didn’t like what I said.
They got stuck in a negative feedback loop: 1. Raise prices to maintain/grow profits 2. Fewer people order food 3. Profits do not increase as much as planned 4. Raise prices to maintain/grow profits...
Because you suckers keep buying it even though it’s best menu items are mid asf
Because everything is now
Inflation? Like everything else? Which is a normal thing and not new.
Rampant greed. Thats all.
It's not even good.
Chris Kempczinski: me want more money That's my theory.

The food is gross anyway.. and it always gives me dystopian vibes because everyone in there always looks so depressed.
Use the app and if you have someone else with you have them use the app too. My girlfriend and I do this all the time and use 2 deals or points at once.
Use the app, they have a 5$ meal rn where you can get either a mcchicken or mcdouble, 4 pc nuggets, small fries and a drink
Frisch's charges me $4 for a large iced tea--I stan McDonald's, lol.
If you're going to eat it (no judge I do too) use their app. They have amazing deals and you'll save a ton of money
Use the app
It's not expensive. We are all just poorer
Use the app
Inflation and increasing the minimum wage.
because demonrats or whatever corporate greed wants to blame it on
Minimum Wage
McDonalds is trash that gives free food to IDF, and it poisons the body. Save your money and your health.
Because too many people are loving it.
It’s not expensive your just bwoke
It depends on what you get. I eat there for about $6
Because food prices have gone up thanks to inflation
They realized they could raise their prices, and people will still buy it.
Increasing labor costs, increasing food costs, inflation, and topped off with cooperate greed.
People are willing to pay a lot for their slop these days
They have been a market leader since inception. They can do this for a while because their brand name is so strong.
It’s still fairly cheap compared to many other fast food chains, you just gotta use the app frfr.. Like buy 1 get 1 kinda deals
Inflation.
Simple answer: Joe Biden
Supply and demand and production costs tho I don't eat McDonald's so doesn't effect me
Because people were fear mongored into voting for Biden. What happen? Biden gave us inflation. Your McDonald’s is now expensive restaurant food now with crap quality.
