You can buy a CPO 2023 3.3t fully loaded for under $45k. No point in buying this car brand new and pay more for less on the 2.5 you are wanting.   I paid $45k for my 2023 3.3t fully loaded. And I bought it April last year before the 2024 models had even been announced.    You can definitely afford the 3.3t if you buy a CPO 2023 year model. And you can get it fully spec'd.... Just sayn

I don’t why I slept on genesis so long, I’ve been told to get a Tesla but EVs in general just haven’t sold me yet. I have seen a 2023 g80 sport for 40k with 5k miles on it, and I’ll most likely be checking that out and getting it. I’ll even try to negotiate it down to 36k honestly

The tech in the Genesis cars is lightyears ahead of what is on Teslas. I test drove one of the new 2024 Model 3s two weeks ago and was blown away by how rudimentary everything is. What Hyundai/Genesis is doing tech wise in their cars is by far the best in the industry. There is tech on the Hyundai and Genesis cars that you can't even get on higher end expensive luxury cars.

I think this is a great play if there's solid 3.3 CPO's somewhat nearby (I'd still push for a deal because G70's are simply not selling well, CPO or not). That said, they may want the slightly updated interior, which is 2024 onward. In which case 2023 or prior isn't an option.

I not a fan of the updated interior on the 2024 models. The touchscreen ac controls feels cheap and gimmicky and they got rid of the brushed metal trim peices. The wheels on the new model year look terrible, that's the big kicker for me.   I would take the nice leather wrapped horn cover, metal tips on gear stalks, and the fancier push start button design. Those are the only updates I wish I had from the 2024 model. Getting rid of the brushed metal trim peices really changes the look of the interior, the new one is just these boring gray peices

IDK your budget or driving I got a deal on a 24 GV70 Prestige, so mine has all the above so I'll give my take. I personally love having a HUD (rarely look at dash now) and adaptive cruise is huge given I travel long distance a number of times a year. 3D is whatever, but it looks nicer than the normal cluster IMO (which just has an odd layout design to me). They're all nice to haves, but if you can't afford it, you're not missing much (unless you drive a lot of long distance, in which no adaptive cruise would suck, but isn't a killer). 2.5L is a smartstream engine, so that might fare better over the long haul as the hyundai's older theta and lambda engines had some issues. V6 is a more fun engine, but it's the old lambda carryover (guesses have been Hyundai/Genesis has a bunch lying around so they stick that older V6 in the G70 unlike the GV70, etc which get the newer smartstream 3.5 V6). In terms of performance, there is not really a significant difference between the 3.3 and 3.5. As noted, the 2.5 is improved in performance over the old 2.0 I hope you're getting a deal as G70's basically aren't selling anywhere so dealers should be looking to offload them. Edit: NVM, you're not comparing apples to apples, to get some of those features, that price diff is you moving to the V6 as well. I'd say if you drive a lot, especially any distance, you'll like having adaptive cruise and ventilated seats as the big things. You can get both those features on the 2.5L and it's worth it on either the 4 or 6 IMO if you do any distance driving.

2024 now has a 2.5L engine which should be more than enough power for the average driver. I have the 2.0 and love it.

That's not the case in all countries
