Releasing a switch port only stands to make Nintendo fanboys bitch and moan to make Genshin look bad. Better off not releasing it. Besides, why give Nintendo a cut of profits when they are greedy af and probably take bigger cuts than Sony or even Microsoft would.
The physics simulation is far above what Genshin (or any other comparable game, really) is doing, which goes some ways towards explaining the performance. The artstyle and design is also such that things don’t need to be high-resolution to stand out - Genshin loves their tiny dongles and widgets on playable characters. But the Switch is absolutely a pretty weak platform and the amount of effort it would take to get Genshin on there is probably not worth it.
I didn’t even know that abt Nintendo- honestly I don’t really know much- I just play and roll- probably switch 2 since that’s what everybody is saying😭
Original switch is 7 years old, and even on release it wasnt that powerfull, i really doubt its gonna have more than 20 FPS on lowish settings in genshin.
The real question is, do you event want to? (considering how poor the Switch will be for a Genshin gameplay and even if it does well, you're just basically burning your Switch in the process)

First, Nintendo should make an effort to make it easier for other structures to be compatible with the console, not vice versa. They put so much effort to make it harder to emulate, that it also makes it harder to dev or adapt for.

Well, as a non current Nintendo player, (I've played on Gameboy and Advance on childhood), what they do is bad for me too, because I can't play some exclusives of them, mainly because they can't adapt them to other formats. I'd have keep playing Pokemon until now, but I've abandoned it after Gen IV.

That's every console.
The MS and Sony consoles have used standard PC CPU and GPU architectures since PS4/XBOne, while Switch uses standard ARM CPU cores and Nvidia GPU cores.
Literally the only reason consoles exist is to be a DRM box to enforce exclusivity, because the entire console business model since forever has been to sell the console itself at cost, or even at a small loss, then make the money back by selling games that you now *have* to buy for that console.
Nintendo is actually one of the easier console makers to emulate, mostly because:

The reason it's hard to get other games to run on the Switch is because it's so ancient and underpowered.
If you're developing a game for switch, you basically have to build your entire game around the Switch's limited processing power and RAM.
The fact that it's so ancient and basic is why even recent Switch games can be emulated - even before official release, unlike Xbox and PS, where even PS3/360 emulation is glitchy and PS4/XBOne+ emulation still isn't possible.
It's not just a hardware problem, yeah, optimization is dense, but it's also a software problem, their SDK and APIs are a mess. When I want to export for PS or XBOX, there isn't a lot of work to do, but with Switch it's... a real headache, even for simple apps.
Well, if you have actual experience doing it, then I won't argue, but either way, consoles want exclusivity and to lock both devs, if possible, and players, into their ecosystem.
Also, regardless of how bad the apis and sdks are, it still stands that Switch is the only "modern" console that is successfully emulated.
The Switch is a 7 year old mobile console using a 9 year old SoC that features a 10 year old GPU architecture and a 12 year old CPU architecture.
Switch was obsolete before it even released.
Genshin on a Nintendo platform isn't going to happen until they release a Switch 2, at which time you could probably expect to see Genshin running at the quality and framerate of a 2 generation old mid range phone, because Nintendo has historically always shipped obsolete, underpowered hardware to keep prices down to target a more casual market.
We will just have to wait and see- I was just genuinely asking- I truly never knew abt the specs or ANYTHING in that department I know nothing- all I know is game good quality/good gameplay is good and game opposite to that is bad- so far Nintendo was good to me so I decided to ask but after reading the replies I was like shit- wow- maybe wait for a new Nintendo to be able to play. I'd lean towards a PC unless you're completely tech illiterate.
And even then, I'd suggest looking into something like a Steam Deck, **RoG Ally**, or **Legion Go** as relatively plug and play options - especially if you value portability. Those handhelds are basically Switch clones with modern chips and standard PC operating systems.
Steam Deck might require some tinkering for Genshin though, since while the other 2 are Windows based, Steam Deck is Linux based, so it requires a bit of tinkering to get Genshin to run, but it's not *that* hard and there are plenty of guides.
I have a MacBook and I’ve tried SO many ways to get Genshin on there but to no use- so I’ve given up and since my MacBook is perfectly working and kinda new I don’t see why I should buy a new pc cus I have a working laptop- my phone is the one that needs to change- had this iPhone X since January 2018 it’s at 256 gb(but it ain’t acting like it) and not only does it keep on freezing BUT I have white lines on it(been that way for 2yrs now) and I wanna go to like Samsung or iPhone 12/13 cus- I just need a new phone atp mine is running on hopes and dreams- so I’m leaning to phone or ps(most probably phone cus this abt to DIE on me-) and computers ARE NOT my thing- took me months to understand mine(I’m not even that old- I’m 17) but thank u for the suggestion💞
Things like this are why I refuse to use Apple products no matter how good the promised performance might be (real performance usually worse).
The Apple Silicon Macbooks use the same processors as modern iPad Pros, which run Genshin perfectly well. But, Apple said no, so you can't run it on Macbooks.
As for the phone, unless you're doing serious work on it, there's no point buying anything expensive like an iPhone. My daily use tablet has a processor that was mid range 3 years ago, and it's totally fine for basic daily use. Plus, mid range Android phones have a huge advantage over iPhone and other high end phones, in that mid range androids typically still come with SD card slots. Even if games like Genshin don't like running off of SD cards, you can move all your photos and music to the SD card and save a ton of space in the main storage.
As for PS5, the only real reason to get a PS is you play a lot of PS exclusive games. A modern PS is literally just a PC - standard Zen 2 CPU, RDNA 2 GPU - except it has a locked down OS that limits what you can do with the hardware.
Yes. You can download the official launcher and run it through Lutris for example. Everything works, no need for unofficial patches and etc.

It did in the past when it was disabling the anti virus. Now it is not needed so they don't touch it. The only thing that they do is disabling telemetry and giving a bunch of options that you can use or ignore. As far as I am aware it shouldn't be bannable even if mihoyo smh find players using aagl, but i can't say for sure.
(and personally i have never seen any bans for aagl)
But fair enough, if you are not 100% sure, than better to stick with more official approach.
I'd argue that Genshin won't be coming to Switch because Nintendo already has a game like that in 2017, which Genshin Impact was inspired from to begin with and I don't think they'd be too happy to add Genshin into their console.
No? Hollow Knight is perfectly fine on the switch. There's zero correlation too. HK is a 2d platformer while Genshin is a fully 3D open world game. Why would HK cause issues for the switch when it's an indie game that isn't graphically intensive at all? That's just a straight up ignorant thing to say,
No cause a lot of complains I've seen is that the switch ports always suck for several games and genshin being that demanding might fuck up the switch the second point still stands tho porting everything while updating the normal version is almost impossible unless they pull some bs

Cus I get the climbing and gliding and stamina and shi but like most of it isn’t the same- when I JUST got into the game I saw the resemblance (played Zelda since release) but after the first part of Mondstadt BARELY ANYTHING was the same except for the things I’ve mentioned- I was so confused when I opened yt abt Genshin and saw those videos I was like what? Cus I remember point crow(a legend of Zelda YouTuber) making vids abt it and SO MANY OTHERS I was so like- um but other games also do this why is it that Genshin gets crap for it- and Genshin didn’t even ‘copy’ the way people were over exaggerating- smh and I enjoy both games A LOT and never compare the 2- games should only be compared if its like a continuation of a franchise or something (like halo 1 and halo 2 for example or botw and tears of the kingdom etc) or when THEY ARE TOOOOO MANY SIMILARITIES IN ALMOST EVERYTHING- if you like the game fine if you don’t also fine- just move on- no need to bring unnecessary hate for no reason- that’s just what I think honestly😭

Tears of the kingdom look far better than Genshin. Genshin is possible on the switch. But it's not optimized enough.
