I had a hard time finding this but eventually found the perfect company - VPNArea
Edit: thought maybe I shouldn't say quite *perfect* because it only works with openvpn, not wire guard
I've used Surfshark and it works really good on my GLi.net router modem with wire guard. As long as the VPN supports wire guard, you should be good to go.
Unlike the mainstream bastardized VPN offerings out there, it actually allows you to access your devices at home. Granted, you won't get the whole "appear as you are somewhere else" deal; but. That can be resolved by having nodes at your desired locations.
You confuse privacy VPN solutions with remote access VPNs. The "mainstream bastardized VPN offerings" are designed to tunnel your traffic, not to access your home network.
As long as they ler you download OpenVPN/WireGuard profiles, you are good.

I personally use tailscale. So far so good. The best part about it is, it's free for 100 devices.
What's the advantage of tailscale
