You're just regurgitating what you've heard people say. Are you referring to military? How many thousands have they gone through and still use them because the majority are fine and even the ones that "broke" still work. The optic has a place. Being in alaska I'd never use an open emitter because of snow and frost. If you actually look at the facts instead of trying to look for examples of failures you'll see that they are in fact reliable.
There's examples of literally every optic failing. Also based on your comment history, you have a bit of an attitude problem. Have you considered taking a look inward and trying to find out why you're unhappy in life? I hope things get better for you
They’re being given to the Russians for free from China. I mean I’m pretty sure most of those dudes rifles aren’t even zeroed in with any of their dots lmao “proven” is def a way to put it
I get it can be tough to find the time to go and read data points that might conflict with your feelings about a topic.
I'm quite happy with my 507COMP and have taken it to many classes. Currently sitting at 25k+ rounds on it with no problems, but please feel free to educate me more on the reality you live inside.
I've taken plenty of classes and taught classes. I haven't seen a Holosun break but I've seen a Surefire X300 fly off a gun at the last class. By your metric, is the X300 cheap junk?
Speculating about my finances does not make your point valid, Buddy. You completely ignored the part where I said I *taught* classes. This is like watching the birth of new Fudd lore in real time.
If you don't like Holosun, don't buy one. I've seen them in action and they work just as well as other brands.
It depends. The SRO has a pretty big footprint compared to an RMR. I recently switched from an RMR to an RCR and the few added mm of height over an RMR actually do affect conceal ability noticeably.
If you anticipate a lot of shooting (I.e. practice or comp) with your carry gun then the SRO is pretty worth it. I imagine it'd also come in clutch should you ever find yourself In a defensive scenario.
More recent reports about the SROs reliability and durability is OK for conceal carry usage but YMMV. Battery swap without removing the RMr is also nice. Overall, my primary concern and the reason i didn't put the sro on my carry is due to conceal ability concerns.
I may give in to the temptation and get a red dot for one of my pistols, probably my G22. But I have already spent a lot of money on seven pistols, extra magazines, holsters, conversion barrels, and night sights. But I have heard that learning how to use red dots opens a wonderful world of accuracy. Talk me into it. 😁
The target acquisition and follow up shots is great. The ability to see ur entire target is also great. If you buy one and don’t like it you can always return it.
Difficult to learn how to use both eyes when shooting? I have tried keeping both eyes open when using irons and friends’ red dots and I always get double images and end up closing one of my eyes before pulling the trigger.
Don't bother with the SRO. It's very fragile. You're better off buying a holosun than an SRO. This guy is just trying to make himself feel better because he spent money on one instead of something better.
Highly opinionated comment. Sro is very fragile? I have 3 of them and 2 of them are from 2019 when they came out. No issues. And I Edc’ed one for 5 years :)
Yes I've seen them with my own eyeballs crack from waist height falls at competitions. They're completely pointless with the RMR HD existing. Its inherently more fragile because of the housing design and glass shape.
You think I haven’t dropped my SROs? lol. Bad on them for not getting a bros cover while competing. Either way I do own an rmr hd and an rcr. Also own 2 acros. The best glass is on the sro. To each their own.
If you use an SRO for competition thats one thing, but its grimy as fuck to tell someone who's obviously inexperienced with red dots to put an SRO on their carry gun when literally anything else from holosun/trijicon/aimpoint is better.
Why would I want one? They're fragile as hell. I wouldn't put that garbage on my gun. The only people who like them are people who already bought one and have to cope with the fact they spent money on that garbage instead of an RMR HD or RCR.
Also magwells are ugly and stupid.
It's okay to admit you wasted your money on garbage. You don't have to gaslight yourself into thinking you bought the best shit in the world because you have buyer's remorse.

I have 3 P2s and not one issue.

And did you really downvote because I've had 3 that work?? Go outside and get some fresh air man
I am dying laughing😂
I edc a holosun 407c lol 2 years and only shifted zero like 1/2in right when I dropped it off a toilet by accident lol

Nah, olight is the olight of red dots. Holosuns are being used in Israel rn, and hundred of LE agencies nationwide use them reliably everyday.
Plenty of pictures of people in Ukraine using Holosuns. They are officially battle tested.
They’re being given to the Russians for free from China. I mean I’m pretty sure most of those dudes rifles aren’t even zeroed in with any of their dots lmao “proven” is def a way to put it
Where did I write "proven"?

Lol. Go read Sage Dynamics white paper on optics durability.

Their dots are great but can't say the same about their screws
Run a P2 on my M18/320, and I kinda don't like it. Waaay too chunky for what it is.
Needs an X300 Turbo onG!
All must lift their praises to the one true Glock, the most righteous G17.
“Yes, Gadson” we say in unison. Weird comment to dislike but whatever lol
You’re getting downvoted bc his name is Gaston.
No no that's Gaston's cousin, Gadson Golnk. He sells crossbows and Buffalo cum.
Glock enthusiasts will say his name is "God's Son"
Lmfaoo oh
*coughs in sro* https://imgur.com/a/BSzoa0V
I EDC’d my G19 with an SRO until I just recently moved to RCR 🤷♂️
Shh don’t tell them that. They’ll get mad.
Its... it's a more delicate sight...
It’s for competition
I can’t afford to replace one when I drop it.
Ever heard of a warranty?
Good luck getting warranty to cover that. Let me know how it goes.
It worked I just replaced it because I dropped it from 1 in and it exploded.
I don’t think that’s the flex you think it is..
Especially when it’s more than the firearm hahah. SRO’s are great though! I like the clean set up 🤙
I run RMRs on everything… I have a holosun 507 and an EPS but something about the RMR has me going back always. Would you recommend this over the RMR?

Laughs in SRO FDE
Yeah you’re right lol, the fde one is hot
What magwell is that?
The $20 one from strike industries, it works.
Can you link it please?
What magwell?
Strike industries

Try putting some tape over the lens of the dot. There are videos on YouTube. You should get one.

Thanks! Appreciate the tips!
It’s really just ok. Not that big of a difference to me.

I disagree but you do you. Sro is a great optic
I run the vortex defender ccw. I could throw that bitch on concrete and it would hold it's zero and just scuff if up. It's a tank

OK?
I believe he is implying that you’re a poor.
If 250 for an optional dot is poor then that's 99% of this sub because the majority use holosun lol
![gif](giphy|xXe0fDbtbkDgwwmAri) Homeboy doesn’t even have backup irons 😂
It’s a comp gun
Man the SRO is the best looking optic, but I don’t like the look of it on a Glock
I can afford plenty of them, but I wouldn’t edc one
Oh, I can certainly afford one, but I prefer a Holosun SCS Carry. I'm surprised that you cheaped out on the magwell.
Well first it’s satire, It’s a stock comp gun. I like oem Glock, magwell was $20
I prefer night sights for EDC…
As someone with an astigmatism all red dots are bad for EDC
Why would I want one? They're fragile as hell. I wouldn't put that garbage on my gun. The only people who like them are people who already bought one and have to cope with the fact they spent money on that garbage instead of an RMR HD or RCR. Also magwells are ugly and stupid.
Found the poor guy lol
It's okay to admit you wasted your money on garbage. You don't have to gaslight yourself into thinking you bought the best shit in the world because you have buyer's remorse.
Just because you have had a negative experience with the SRO, it does not mean that everyone will have a negative experience with the SRO.
You have a 509t 😂
An objectively better optic than the SRO.
Not with all the distortion and blue tint. EPS is way better than that.
