That was also my first Hot Hatch if you can call it that for a GTI, so wished I had the money for a Golf R. I will say the Mk4 GTI was the worst handling car I have ever driven, it put a new meaning to the word understeer.

But the only reason people do it is because they try to save as much money is possible. OP is definitely not like them, because he already repainted the whole car. Try to find freshly painted mk4 in Balkans 🙃
Ok, but it literally has no downsides:
Car costs less to run
Does not polute
If done well it does not harm the engine
Does not affect how car runs, you can even make it go faster, depending on how it is set up
The only downside is that you need to put the bottle somewhere in your car.

I understood, I might be wrong: 1800 car as it was + 800 to fix it + 1500 to clean and paint :)

If you want to drive for a lot cheaper and polute less you can add an LPG bottle in the back, the 1.8t can be made to run on lpg

Why, its a 20+year old car, and they are not rare at all, personally dont see a problem, where i live you will struggle to find a mk4 GTI without LPG
