I mean I’m just stating my opinion, don’t really wanna ruin it for anyone enjoying it. But it just seems lifeless. When Ye used to rap, he had this charisma or charm that grabbed your attention, even on "Jesus is King." Now, it feels like he’s just talking about superficial topics like pussy and sex. Anyone could have done that verse; there's nothing uniquely Ye about it for me.

I just listened to TCD again and yea I kinda agree. His older stuff feels so much more joyful and energetic. When listening to Yeezus or TLOP I feel like there is a concept behind these kind of lines, like an actual story to it. Stuff like Freestyle 4 is so great because it actually sounds like he is losing his mind but thats the point of it. On V1 he often just sounds sleepy and lifeless. There are great tracks on that album tho (Burn, Beg Forgiveness etc).
