It’s nice to see him doing something other than “silent badass.” I never really believed him in that role. Now that he’s “Tribal Pretender” it lets him show what else he can do. And it’s going to be amazing when Roman comes back and puts him in his place.
It will be, but imo at first when he comes back he needs to be a heel. I think they need to build up him reuniting with the old bloodline. Really make us want it to happen.
You need to get to the brutal bloodline beatdown somehow. You cant just do it my guy. Returning him as a heel then them turning on him and nobody coming to help him at furst bc he has no friends left imo sounds perfect. Then he realizes he needs the usos to come together
I think it would be a gradual thing for Roman as he learns he was wrong before. He'll grow and slowly earn the trust of his old enemies as he sees the damage the new Bloodline is causing.
Kind of like how Hawkeye and Black Widow started out as villains in the comics but overtime they became heroes and learned the error of their ways, eventually becoming full blown members of the Avengers
Maybe. But personally I wish he would stay a heel because he's a great villain. It would be really difficult to root for him as a face with the tribal chief gimmick.
It's like an adoptive tribal brotherhood kinda thing. Think of it like Rikishi's grandad adopted Rock's grandad into the family as his brother. I'm not sure, but it's entirely feasible Tama Tonga is family through this sort of thing along the way also.
He is. His father Haku is adopted into the family that way. So was Snuka.
His Brother and tag partner in Japan is Tanga Loa who played Camacho in WWE in the 2010s.
In a perfect world the rock is the heel, and roman still thinks they are together when he comes back. Eventually the rock and solo and all them turn on roman and its revealed all the shit going on rn was ordered by the rock. Imo the best use of the rock in this would be as the heel, roman gets beat down and bloodied. Becomes the babyface overnight afterwards.
He actually feels like a hateable villain now. Him and Tama don't just feel like bullies. They feel evil. Like how The Rock as the Final Boss feels evil, not like a bully. Sadistic even. When Paul Heyman is the most decent person out of everyone in the ring, you know they must be Grade A pricks! Can't wait to see Roman put them in their place. That's if Nick Aldis doesn't go back to his NWA days and mop the arena with them. Solo and Tama DO NOT know who they're messing with. They're about to fuck around and find out!
I am in the same boat, Im hoping the ultimate plan is to use this to get the new samoan guys over. Im pretty tired of the same dudes being involved in this bloodline story and with tama coming in it already feels like a breath of fresh air. I need more of it
Agreed. This is the new and young version of the Bloodline. They can spin the story and reach better heights while putting the younger guys over. Even if Rocky comes back, imagine Solo not obeying the High Chief?? Taking things into his own hands. Shiettt
I've wanted to like Solo for a while so it's nice to see him getting this treatment, before Mania he wasn't likeable, hateable or believable, his gimmick was just bland, now he seems like a genuine threat and it's only 2 weeks after Mania.
The only thing that still irks me is the thumb, he looks at his thumb the same way my wife looks at Ryan Reynolds amd it's weird, keep the spike as a finisher, heck keep the thumb taped up, it's unique, but please Solo, stop looking at your thumb like a juicy snack, it ruins the moment every time
Yeah solo has never worked as the strong silent type, he always looks like he’s 1 stubbed toe away from a brain aneurysm so having him finally get to be the hair trigger lunatic he’s always threatened to be is a great decision
I think that his role within the bloodline story at this current moment is really interesting, but Solo himself is not interesting whatsoever.
He basically copy and pasted Umaga’s moveset, is winless in his last 36 matches, and looked like a red lobster manager with his suit from Joseph A Banks that didn’t even fit him.
It's too forced. He's trying his best to adopt the mannerisms and personality of Roman without any of the history, legacy, or prestige that Roman has. Just comes off as a 2nd rate wannabe. This bloodline lite shit that they got going on with him Toma Tonga is so lame
I understand that. Outside of kayfabe, I think he's doing a bad job and it makes for boring/unenjoyable television cause he's obviously not ready for this role.
I think despite it all, he does a very good job. His face, expressions, body language and outfit fit the gimmick he is playing. Heyman makes everything 10x better of course, but yea Solo does a much better job than Roman ever did in his first few years.
I really think that's the case. Take Paul and all his brilliance out of that equation and Solo is just a shorter, fatter, and way less menacing Karrion Kross at this point
Solo definitely needed this character improvement. The Bloodline finally looks interesting again following Jimmy Uso's ousting and the beat down on Kevin Owens.
Fans already chanting they want Roman. I see that as a good thing as his return as a babyface will be huge. I'd like to see Solo gradually start to bully Heyman more and more and make Heyman more of a sympathetic character. I think that would be a good side-plot in addition to whatever else they're going to do to build anticipation of Roman's eventual return.
Whatever happens I trust them to get it right.
The long term storytelling is so good.
Remember in December when Roman made Solo the tribal prince? When he said if anything happens to me you take over? Well I think that's what we're seeing. Solo will add Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu, and wreck shop for a while. When Roman finally does return we will get the reveal that Rock has usurped Roman and is now calling the shots. They will kick out Roman and he will have to do the long grind back to the title, slowly assembling the Usos, Sami, Cody, Rollins as allies leading to War Games, then eventually Rock vs Roman for the title. Or perhaps not, I'm not sure this even needs a title at all.
That being said I love Solo. I think he's great, and always has been exactly what they need him to be.
He needs to actually win matches to be taken seriously.
Right now he’s just the bratty kid that acts tough but can’t prove themselves when the match comes.
Still bothers me a little when bro was talking about losing has consequences, when he's lost more than he's won. I hope someone brings that up in this storyline
It’s crazy how people couldn’t just be patient enough to realize giving him character development during the most recent story would have taken away from it.
Perspective is hard for wrestling fans
Yesterday when I was high I realized what holds Solo from looking more bad ass. It’s that wirey shit he has on top. My friend Steve has the same shit. But solo dyes it which makes it kinda funny to think about. Idk the haircut itself is fine but the blonde makes him look kinda gay tbh
“He really needed this character development”
lol
It’s been all character development since the day he arrived. It never stopped. It’s literally a part of the same storyline.
I don’t understand this post.
It’s nice to see him doing something other than “silent badass.” I never really believed him in that role. Now that he’s “Tribal Pretender” it lets him show what else he can do. And it’s going to be amazing when Roman comes back and puts him in his place.
I dont believe it will be that simple with fatu coming in. There are more samoans coming, and my guess is they will be with solo.
Roman asking his old enemies for help to shut down the group that he built could be really cool
Roman, Usos, Kevin, Sami and Cody, maybe even Rollins, all working together to bring down Solo, Tama, Jacob, Rock and whoever else would be wild.
As long as Regal announce it for WARGAMES
This is the way
It will be, but imo at first when he comes back he needs to be a heel. I think they need to build up him reuniting with the old bloodline. Really make us want it to happen.
Nah fans are already chanting for him. His return as a babyface will gigantic. They would be stupid to return him as a heel.
You need to get to the brutal bloodline beatdown somehow. You cant just do it my guy. Returning him as a heel then them turning on him and nobody coming to help him at furst bc he has no friends left imo sounds perfect. Then he realizes he needs the usos to come together
SAMI ZAYN
I understand people want this but I really don't get how that could happen. After the damage he caused to his old enemies they'd want to help him?
I think it would be a gradual thing for Roman as he learns he was wrong before. He'll grow and slowly earn the trust of his old enemies as he sees the damage the new Bloodline is causing. Kind of like how Hawkeye and Black Widow started out as villains in the comics but overtime they became heroes and learned the error of their ways, eventually becoming full blown members of the Avengers
Maybe. But personally I wish he would stay a heel because he's a great villain. It would be really difficult to root for him as a face with the tribal chief gimmick.
Btw do you know if Tama tonga is related to solo? Or is he an honorary member of the bloodline like sami?
as far as I know he has no blood relation to them, but their family is so vast and big it wouldnt surprise me if he was a third cousin or something.
The rock doesn’t have any blood with them either
I thought he was their uncle bc he is brothers with rikishi? Is this not the case? Ik roman is their cousin bc rosey is rikishis brother
No the Rock isn’t a blood related relative to them. Rock and Rikishis grandfathers were very close essentially and they’re like family.
makes sense. I always thought rock was like brothers with rikishi or something but that makes sense. They have no resemblance
He’s his MFT
what does MFT mean
Does anyone even know what that means
I’m guessing motherfucking Tongan
lol i am just imaging in a year when it’s on Netflix to highlight that it’s not pg solo introduces him as that.
And who's side will Rock be on?
In a perfect world the rock is the heel, and roman still thinks they are together when he comes back. Eventually the rock and solo and all them turn on roman and its revealed all the shit going on rn was ordered by the rock. Imo the best use of the rock in this would be as the heel, roman gets beat down and bloodied. Becomes the babyface overnight afterwards.
And the Usos join him to take on these 3
I like that, but I feel like the Rock would just overshadow everything that Solo is doing currently
Looked like a boss last night
The *Intermediate* Boss ®
Final Boss ⏳
Jimmy must be curious why he can't get character development like his brothers.
Jimmy is the least interesting of the 3, and the least believable imo as a top star.
Well I mean they don’t both have to be big stars, I think Jimmy has been playing the “cocky and goofy but scared” heel pretty well
The dap me up stuff is funny lmfao
Guarantee when him and jey inevitably get back together jimmy can do better
Hopefully he will when he comes back from the injury solo gave him(in universe)
I think it will end up being Rock, Solo, and the new guy vs Roman and the Usos
The new g…you mean Tama Tonga?
Yea
His music is awesome, really elevates him above just coming out to Romans theme
Really? I've always felt his is too generic, I'd like him to get a new one as the tribal pretender.
Tamas facial expressions are so intense.
TAKING IT ALL
I just hope we don’t lose some of this development when it’s revealed Rock is behind all of the recent decisions
Shiettt

He needs a new finisher. The spike is a bit rubbish to be honest.
Well he does it as an ode to Umaga so my guess is it’s going to stay
“Hey, 2023 wrestling fan! The crowd is chanting ‘We Want Roman!’ and Solo is getting massive heat during his promos” 😳
He’s taking it all! The whole Bloodline!
Yeah solo has never worked as the strong silent type, he always looks like he’s 1 stubbed toe away from a brain aneurysm so having him finally get to be the hair trigger lunatic he’s always threatened to be is a great decision
I don't know I still can't take him seriously. How is he supposed to be a threat when he hasn't won a televised match since he beat Cena last year?
But is he gonna sing ?
Hopefully he sings the National Anthem at Backlash.
Yeah man rock gotta see it through man. It would have been epic if solo actually sang it at wrestlmania

I think the point is he supposed to be a “wannabe” So when Roman does come back you get this at war games potentially
That’s… the point
I understand that. Outside of kayfabe, I think he's doing a bad job and it makes for boring/unenjoyable television cause he's obviously not ready for this role.
About time someone saw what I saw lol. Just been waiting for the Solo post.
Its not even really "developement" hes just not being a useless mute in the background like before
I think despite it all, he does a very good job. His face, expressions, body language and outfit fit the gimmick he is playing. Heyman makes everything 10x better of course, but yea Solo does a much better job than Roman ever did in his first few years.
That's an awful low bar my friend, and I'm still not sure Solo is crossing it
I am positively surprised, but like i said it might be Heyman whom adds a lot.
I really think that's the case. Take Paul and all his brilliance out of that equation and Solo is just a shorter, fatter, and way less menacing Karrion Kross at this point
Yes, same could be said about the entire Bloodline story. Take Paul's booking out of it, and the Bloodline is just another Shield.
Woof... You're probably not wrong. Heyman is the GOAT for a reason
I feel like he needs to kinda take the dark and brooding Roman feel to it. I just don't take him serious when he sounds like the other usos
Feels too late as he was presented on tv with too much losses
Yeah he’s freaking scary now, but now he needs to win matches to build credibility
He's a better promo than I expected, but then again he has been hanging with Heyman and Roman.
Solo Time!
He didn’t need character development. He needed a character.
It was this or what? Non vocal enforcers don’t do well w/o a boss. Not sure I care about the bloodline w/o Roman or Rock now though
He is simply a placeholder tho, when the rock comes back hes going right back to second fiddle. So dont get too excited, this is all temporary.
Solo definitely needed this character improvement. The Bloodline finally looks interesting again following Jimmy Uso's ousting and the beat down on Kevin Owens.
My guy is a habitual phone stomper
Yeah it is better I just hope he sticks with Paul heyman just a little bit longer because Paul does such an excellent job making wrestlers look better
Solo Sikoa Crew checking in
He really needs to win matches.
Looking forward to the inevitable Bloodline Black and White versus Bloodline Wolfpac at Summerslam.
I ain't buying it, "loses have consequences" - said Sikoa shitting himself with 0:32 score
He showed more character and personality in the last 2 Smackdowns than he did in the previous year and a half
When he was the street champ in NXT he sounded a little hood like Jey. He’s capable of making a solid promo.
all he needed was a cuban link and a suit
🤦♂️ it's garbage solo sucks and the new tiny bloodline member is less threatening then the clowns Jimmy and jey were.
The pawn, is now, THE KINGPIN. I really didn't expect this story to take the wild turn. This saga can keep going on for the next 5 years.
This is definitely highlighting Solo’s lack of mic skills.
The only thing he needs is to go on a winning streak of 35 to even out his losses in 2023. Then, Reigns could return and humble the hell out of him.
Just you wait until he has to face his true adversary, >!math!<
He's awful.
I can’t wait until Roman comes back and forms the Bloodline Wolfpac.
Well yeah, he's finally given a mic and told you don't live to be Reigns' safety net.
He needs to actually win matches to be taken seriously. Right now he’s just the bratty kid that acts tough but can’t prove themselves when the match comes.
He needs to learn how to wrestle not just fake poke people with his thumb. Can everyone say nepotism?
Is Paul Heyman his new ball washer?
If only the same time and effort went into people not part of the annoying family
His character has been great from the very beginning.
Solo is a fucking hypocrite. His stupid ass should be out the Bloodline. Jackass has a bigger losing streak than Roman Reigns.
i mean all he does now is talk he’s still absolute garbage
Yesterday when I was high I realized what holds Solo from looking more bad ass. It’s that wirey shit he has on top. My friend Steve has the same shit. But solo dyes it which makes it kinda funny to think about. Idk the haircut itself is fine but the blonde makes him look kinda gay tbh
Now theirs just jimmy left to develop a personality
“He really needed this character development” lol It’s been all character development since the day he arrived. It never stopped. It’s literally a part of the same storyline. I don’t understand this post.
Love this new Solo looks like a boss
