Everyone needs to chill out. This isn't a scam quote. This is for a minivan, not a regular sedan. The standard taxi fares of 40-55 Euros from the airport are only for sedans. WelcomePickups is legit and professional. Do you really have 6 pieces of luggage? That's what's bumping you up from a sedan to a minivan, and from 50 to 94 Euros.
From the airport, fares are supposed to be capped to 40-50 EUR. If you don't want to get a taxi at the airport and aren't staying somewhere that can arrange the transfer for you, Uber or Freenow both work well, have correct prices, and with Uber you can arrange a larger vehicle (which I was able to do for 2 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 months worth of luggage).
That seems crazy high to me. If you are staying at a hotel I would ask them to arrange a taxi for you. Or if you're at an airbnb they could do the same.
Edit: for a minivan, this may not be a bad price. My initial reply below wrongly assumed it was a standard taxi.
Yeah, total scam. Issue 1 is you’re getting the quote in dollars and in English, so they hope to get tourists to book before they’ve entered the country and realize how ridiculous that price is.
It's not a scam at all. The quote is in Euros and will be charged in Euros. If you can find another company that will offer a minivan for this transfer for less money, please let us know.
Fair enough, I didn’t look closely enough at the photo (it’s a bit small on mobile). In that case, probably not a bad deal. I saw a lot of ‘hotel transfers’ offered for roughly this price when I last went, for regular sized taxis, so I just wrongly assumed this was the same thing. My bad.
We had a mercedes sprintter type van with two of us . If you have additiinwl baggage and people may drive up the price ( i don’t know for sure).
This is a more premium service where they have your name on the sigh and they come help you with your bags versus an uber or normal cab.
Also we went in May which is considered off season by many there.
Use the Greece, local based app called FREENOW (equivalent to Uber). Just book when you arrive at the airport incase of flight delays. Will be approx €38-50. Its avg around €45 from the Airport to central Athens. Other option is the Metro, will take you right into Central Athens for approx €10. Only two lines on the metro platform, you want the main line (they call it the blue line) end stop is Aghia Marina. Other line is Suburban line, it can still get you where need to be but will mean change overs.

Official rates for regular taxi as posted at the airport taxi rank.
Use Uber. It was 45 or 50 Euro from the airport to our hotel that was less than 1/2 mile south of the Acropolis. The airport has WiFi you can use then pick up a local sim and you're good to go.
Too expensive since your request has been made for a pickup during the day, it should be 70€ max for a “luxury” minivan. For taxis, there’s a flat fee of 40€ to which you must add a night fee of 15€ if applicable. Safe travels!

Regularly its 50€ but i see its a minivan do maybe this change it. Yet 100€ is lot of money.
We had a private driver, van, party of 6 with 6 luggage. ATH to Athens, 90 Euro. My brother last night spent 40 Euro, solo taxi from ATH to Athens

Uber XL is not being offered from ATH airport.
6 bags and a minivan it’s a normal price

Use Uber for a much more reasonable flat fee
I just used welcome pickups to book a ride to Piraeus port for €71
Welcome Pickups is the way to go.
Correct. And this quote is from Welcome Pickups.
I paid 70 to the city for a Sprinter van. If you want my guy I can send you his info.
Yea too high. I'd say 50-60 euros tops

Edit: yes, the picture shows a van, I was going only by the title and text OP provided and didn’t check the image carefully.
Not only does it say minivan, but there's a picture of one.

Is that AUD. USD, or CAD?
Seems fair. Allow Greeks to earn a living.
For WelcomePickups, yes, this is legit for the size you need.
Yes it is expensive, not crazy expensive though considering it is minivan. But still about 15 euro more than it should be
Seems reasonable given that you’re using a minivan
No. No way. Use Uber app and it’s a flat fee.
that company is a private driver service not a taxi. Even for that it’s high. We just used them and it was around 50.
Did you book a minivan?

Is that price for a minivan that the OP needs?

For sedans, not minivans.
Is this rate also applicable for uber? What are the genuine apps that I can use to book a cab in Greece?
Both Uber and FreeNow book taxis so I think this would be the same rate.
For sedan no it’s not. I don’t know the rates for minivans though
Too expensive. There are other cheaper options
