I primed mine with leadbelcher and continued by dry brushing GK steel

Federal-Emphasis-934

Lead belcher or black. I prefer black on smaller models because it looks like shadows if you can’t get in tiny crevices with a brush

Saethwyr

I prime Chaos Black and do 2dry brush layers of Leadbelcher. First dry brush is pretty heavy and then a lighter one. I then cover them in Drakenhof Nightshade, give another light Leadbelcher and a final edge highlight/dry brush highlight of Runefang Steel.

Either you've watched the same YouTube video as I have, or you are that YouTuber. Either way, it's a pretty good way to paint GK termies

Lg_Unit

hello guys, can you give me the link for that tuto ??

AlmightyGyro

I primed mine grey seer then airbrushed grey knights steel onto them

violentHarkonen

I think metallic primers are pretty awful and make you sacrifice some control over details. Go with black or grey.

MordreddVoid218

1-Leadbelcher 2-a wash of agrax nightshade(I think is what it's called) 3- whatever silver you think looks best and then whatever you wanna use on details. That's just what I did with satisfying results, but they're your dudes, do whatever you want.

Nuclearsunburn

Leadbelcher is what I used for mine but if you’re using a slapchop method you should use something dark

Killiconnn

I primed mine black cause the metallic gun metal covers super well.

suspiciusfolker

I primed my models with chaos black, you could use the same or lead belcher

NoConclusion6010

I primed with vallejo silver. So much hate against it but it looks amazing. Add a blue shade and it gives me the perfect base for my gleaming knights. I can add pictures if you want. I found priming with leadbelcher too dark. I get its a "grimdark" universe but I felt these guys should be more shiny in the already dark world.

Mahote

Vallejo Silver. Same thing I used to prime my Necrons, and my IK chassis.
