This photo gives me great confidence. We just adopted a grey and already have a pug at home and I was feeling slightly nervous about having such a big dog around the pug, how was the settling period ?
You have a puggle too? That's awesome! π The settling period was okay! A bit chaotic at times, only because Pedro was a puppy at the time, and he didn't understand that Max didn't want to play. He didn't realise how big he was. It took a while for him to understand he couldn't rough house with smaller dogs like Max. Other than that, they settled in nicely!
We had another older Chug at the time, called Poppy. She and Pedro got on great. She gave as good as she got and kept Pedro in line π It helped that we've had lots of different animals over the years. Hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, horses, snakes, chinchillas, cats.. Max and Poppy were introduced to all of them at some point. They made friends with everyone. When I brought home Pedro, it wasn't so much of a shock to them π

Awww ima go cry too! Max's head tilt and face are adorable. It's very great of Max to accept Pedro after being the sole doggo. Puppy love β€
