in my opinion, A.B.A in Accent Core is the most fun fighting game character ever. I've never seen anything like her.
she's also one of the least lore heavy characters in the series which would sound bad but it opens up a lot of possibilities for her to be expanded upon. She was referenced in Asuka's arcade mode which opens up a lot of potential.

While living there she starts collecting keys because to her keys symbolise escape from imprisonment and freedom.
She finds Paracelsus, a sentient key-shaped axe, and keeps him as her "husband".
TL;DR: She is a redhead, socially challanged goth homunculus with a giant living key-shaped axe husband, her gameplay is super fun and yeah that's about it.

Pretty much, yeah. For a lot of players (myself included), the lore of a fighting game character means nothing. The design and playstyle are everything.
ABA is such a sick design and i love her complete change in tempo when you spend a blood pack. Having her change from weakly dragging the key around and hiding behind it to running frantically with it over her head is so cool
I don’t play her, haven’t even played a guilty game with her in it, think that feast or famine characters are bad gameplay design, generally hate playing rushdown and long combos… and I still count ABA as one of my favorite gear designs.

LOOK: Rarely do you find the freaks and weirdos in fighting games on her level (and freaks and weirdos in general to begin with), she's in her own caliber. Has giant key man, covered in bandages and *drips blood*, weird as hell unique voice, looks half dead. Has a key through her head! Likes to read a mysterious book and giggles at it. Not look related but can see S-Ko.
ANIMATIONS: Drips blood, drips lil blood puddles and leaves a lil blood trail, *her when she activates Moroha and her face while idle when active in it*, bandages move, Paracelsus with *his form change when Moroha activates*, intro where she goofily marches her way in, takes a peak when she kills you, when she goes from dragging to chasing you down with him over her head like a raging madman.
GAMEPLAY: *The* definition of a feast or famine character, and *the* reigning install character. No round is over when A.B.A goes Moroha/Goku. Highest tension matches are with her, for the one piloting and the opponent - you are never safe until she's dead (I have seen *many* a 1HP A.B.A win rounds and take matches off a full HP or near full HP opponent). She heals back damage dealt, drains her own HP and has other HP damage related modifiers. The definition of 0-60, and the definition of unga bunga, she is the true grappler and gorilla. A danger to herself and others, she is Heaven or Hell personified. Finally, using her own blood? Blood that is made of mercury? Where do I sign up? And lest we forget THE BEST IK IN ALL OF GUILTY GEAR HISTORY.
CONCLUSION: She is incredibly unique and truly a wondrous sight to behold and experience, there's nothing like her out there from design to personality and to gameplay. Her style of feast or famine, install, and 0-60 is taken to the nth degree; the extreme of extreme: a glorious treasure to be adored and feared.

Honestly I think Aba is my favorite character to fight against cuz you get to interact with her gameplay elements so much (forcing her out of moroha, being able to IK her) and the fact that she's just wilding out in game all the time while putting everyone including her at serious risk of just exploding, such a shame more people don't play her
Yeah she's just a wild ride for both players and spectators, it's great. With her mechanics and resource management she does feel very interactive even for the opponent which isn't a very common experience IMO.
Three knockdowns IIRC to put her into Suka for an IK, can pressure her into using Bloodpacks to go in and out of Moroha which is safe *and* dangerous for her and you, always gotta watch for that command grab, let alone the fear of those rekkas and air/launch corner pressure - once she bites she ain't gonna let go.
I'll never forget the USA vs. JA 25v25 with the likes of ElvenShadow, KBnova, Matsui, Kesuke, and etc where the US ran up 11-12 rounds in a row on the scoreboard from Skeletal_minion's A.B.A, it was wild and the crowning highlight of the entire tournament.

But that's all stuff I assume you would already know

More to the point, her moveset is incredibly cool and hasn't really been done in many places.. She's a true "install character", not just that she has an install mechanic like Sol does in Xrd or Ky does in Strive.. but that she outright relies on it to function. Being intentionally weak and pathetic when the game starts, but then becoming much stronger when she lands the attack which unlocks her actual moveset.
The only other characters I know of with this playstyle being Amy from SoulCalibur 6, and Jamie in SF6.
Kliff would be tied with her, but notice that I said "first and only". Every character from Missing Link and X has had at least two playable appearances (including Kliff); from XX, there are 4 characters who haven't made a second playable appearance: A.B.A, Order Sol, Robo-Ky and Zappa. Order Sol is - well - Sol so he doesn't really NEED to return (and is also technically a dead character so his return isn't likely), and while Zappa and Robo-Ky haven't been playable since XX they both played major roles in Xrd's story, leaving A.B.A as the character most overdue for a second appearance.
She is difficult charackter to play and often gets wrecked. We can call her #1 victim of Insta Kills. But when stars are right, and you know what you're doing, her damage can absolutely skyrocket. She has dedicated turbo mode, which you know about AND also turbo mode TO THAT turbo mode with lighting fast normals, multiple cancels and double air dash!
I recommend watching some matches of Skeletal Minion, there you will see her both in lowest of lows and highest of highs.
If you play her in +R she's both the worst and the best character in the game.

Her appeal to me is she hasn't been seen since +R. I've already seen all the XRD characters with nice animations from videos, and of the 3 we've seen come over 2 got a redesign, so I'd like to see a redesign for A.B.A and see her adapted to modern visuals.

This is almost like the Q situation with Street Fighter. Regardless of the lore or character strengths/tiers, these one of a kind characters were memorable. Q, who at the distance looked like your ordinary everyday trenchcoat man wearing an orchestra mask till you were close enough to make out his cold, robotic face and glare. And A.B.A. who looks more like a victim of a mad science experiment only to be the embodiment of madness itself while wielding her large key blade where a more cutesy character May is lugging a ship anchor one-handed over her shoulder
These characters were wildly different from the rest of the cast, both in game and lore. Q, being a clumsy lumbering menace in a game all about speed and spacing. And A.B.A. who seems to be a bit less than the average fighter till she's suddenly a miniboss capable of killing you off of a singular mistake. They're one of a kind. And because they pretty much have made only one (playable) appearance in recent titles only to have the mysteries of who they were and what significance do they have on the lore keep fans up at night.
Granted Street Fighter now has G to fill the void, who only created more questions involving Q than answers, A.B.A. is a bit overdue. Especially with how much the Guilty Gear cast has evolved over the past few titles, people would really like to see some light shed on A.B.A. and how she might evolve or operate different in the latest title

First time playing against aba, you start the match and go "oh, she's slow, I can zone this. Ok, the pressure isn't too bad, I just got hit and there doesn't seem to be much oki except for that projectile thing. OMFG WHAT HAPPENED WHY IS SHE FAST???? HOLY SHIT I'M DEAD!"

All the people saying “goth” explains everything to me. Never been into goth girls, also never found A.B.A. interesting and had her on my short list of “wouldn’t lose sleep if they never came back”.

Not everyone likes goth You should try getting less sun, less chance of skin cancer. The smell of freshly cut grass is actually grass screaming in agony. Black cats are actually considered good luck. Gomez and Morticia (The Adams Family) are one of the best examples of couples goals. Also my idea of wonderful parents (this one is a personal opinion, the rest is fact).
Her appeal to me is she hasn't been seen since +R. I've already seen all the XRD characters with nice animations from videos, and of the 3 we've seen come over 2 got a redesign, so I'd like to see a redesign for A.B.A and see her adapted to modern visuals. This is the same reason I'd want to see Izuna soon after.
This is almost like the Q situation with Street Fighter. Regardless of the lore or character strengths/tiers, these one of a kind characters were memorable. Q, who at the distance looked like your ordinary everyday trenchcoat man wearing an orchestra mask till you were close enough to make out his cold, robotic face and glare. And A.B.A. who looks more like a victim of a mad science experiment only to be the embodiment of madness itself while wielding her large key blade where a more cutesy character May is lugging a ship anchor one-handed over her shoulder These characters were wildly different from the rest of the cast, both in game and lore. Q, being a clumsy lumbering menace in a game all about speed and spacing. And A.B.A. who seems to be a bit less than the average fighter till she's suddenly a miniboss capable of killing you off of a singular mistake. They're one of a kind. And because they pretty much have made only one (playable) appearance in recent titles only to have the mysteries of who they were and what significance do they have on the lore keep fans up at night. Granted Street Fighter now has G to fill the void, who only created more questions involving Q than answers, A.B.A. is a bit overdue. Especially with how much the Guilty Gear cast has evolved over the past few titles, people would really like to see some light shed on A.B.A. and how she might evolve or operate different in the latest title
Not sure about gameplay but ABA is one of the most unique character designs I’ve seen in a video game.
I can't imagine playing a character for any other reason than because they look cool. How is that not appealing enough?
