In the nicest way possible, I hope you’re wrong. I’d be really disappointed if we got a whole season of just Xrd characters, especially with season 3 being 75% returning from Xrd.
I know they didn’t originate in Xrd (same as Johnny and Slayer), it’s just the last time they were playable.
I’d prefer it if Strive brought back more characters that didn’t show up in Xrd, like Robo-Ky and Zappa from +R or Izuna and Dr Paradigm from Overture.
honestly, I’d be fine with them just bucking the 1 XX character per season pattern and throwing both Zappa and Robo-Ky in as 2 of the characters. yes I want Zappa out of the 2 more but I honestly don’t want either of them to risk missing 2 games in a row (not counting overture) and would love it if they’d simply just add both

The existence of characters in previous games doesn't mean the prospect of new characters should be completely shafted in favor of adding only characters we've already seen
While I don’t 100% agree, the truth is we have too many characters for a huge chunk of people to not be disappointed with S4. For every happy Jam fan, there’s an angry Zappa fan, and this example could be used for every character. I wouldn’t be disappointed with a new character, but I definitely wouldn’t prefer one to a favorite character of mine like Venom coming back.
naw, he still has the ghosts so he’ll still use ghosts in gameplay, and I feel like if any of the summons from XX are safe, it’d be Raoh considering hes both the most iconic and also doesn’t really conflict with Strives gameplay philosophy unlike the others like Sword and Dog
to be fair I think dog is 2nd most likely because you can very easily bring him back in a way where hes not a stance. It’s Triplet and Sword that are imo at risk. Sword because it has the potential to be just integrated into normals, Triplet because they’re easily the least liked of his ghosts
Er, so, while I am new to the franchise, from what I seen that Jam and Dizzy are some fan favorites? I think personally it would make sense for either Jam or either Dizzy to be added, and the other reserved for season 5 so that both seasons would have a fan favorite "flagship character"
With all due respect, why do people think Raven is highly likely to come back? I don't think he's more likely than other Xrd newcomers like Kum, and I think his main advantage over Answer is that Answer didn't even have time to gain a following before Strive came out. I didn't even really see people asking for him until halfway through this season, he's got very little fanart presence, etc.
Just wondering why people are so certain he'll come back over other fighters or lore characters. I don't know that much about how he plays because I wasn't around for Xrd.
I just want raven the most, everyone is Just as awesome to me, with robo ky being a bit more hype bc funny
