Serious answer, I feel like the biggest problem for story mode is how little the characters and backgrounds match up. It's especially noticeable with walk cycles. At some points, their legs move like they are running, but they move across the white house like a casual walk.
Am i the only one who doesn't understand what tf happens in her insta kill? Why is she making these face expressions, why can't she kick her opponent normally ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Nah, i'm serious, firstly she does cool poses for no reason then out of nowhere she suddenly remembers her restaurant that was destroyed and then she just kicks her opponent while crying? Oh and there are also writings on the screen that apparently quote Buddha?
Do i get it right? That just seems like a combination of random events

A running gag in the series is that Jam's restaurant constantly gets burned down, and so the IK is basically just comedic misdirection: It begins with her doing a bunch of cool poses to make you think she's going to do this sick anime attack and then immediately cuts to her destroyed restaurant with her face of despair, as she kicks you trying to power through the tears.
It's not really supposed to have a 'storyline' (probably the wrong word but hopefully you get it) like I think you're assuming.

Why is that animation of Jam so much better than the Strive movie?
Because the whole movie had like 4 animators on a tight budget with a small time to get 4 hours of content done

It was made as an afterthought. XRD's story has the exact same problems. Both story modes are why I'm convinced GG needs a dedicated anime.
