like, gameplay wise both the fire and the time (afaik, having very little playtime as or against Axl) are only used in one move, but the time thing is featured in round victory animations and his intro, as well as a prime focus in the ggst story mode.
he's also one of the few characters (again, afaik) who uses two very distinct types of magic. Pretty much everyone who isn't Asuka or Happy Chaos uses magic that is either of one type, or visually coherent enough to appear as such (to me at least). the only other major exception I can think of is I-no and her time magic is only seen in storymode/intros.
It's also very possible he's using a third type of magic to alter the length of his sickle chain.
so I feel like magic suits him the best.
Brisket, a.b.a and pot don't use magic, budget just has a gear fren, a.b.a fucks a literal demon and pot uses the power of glue and forbidden tech

Pot very definitely uses magic in Strive's story mode, there's a magic circle and everything. ABA also used to throw fireballs made out of her own blood, so even if the Gates-of-Truth-looking portals are all Paracelsus she's got some magic sauce, too
Fair, but pot pod might've been enchanted. Also I'm unsure about zato as he can turn his limbs into edde juice without meter, but that could just be eddie strong enough to do something but not strong enough to act outside of zato's body
A long tome ago Sol created an anti-gear weapon that was split into 8 different weapons, each associated with different types of magic. Anji's fans are the wind ones, Ky's sword is the lightning one, and Sol's weapon is a combination of the fire one and the light one. This part of the lore is surprisingly irrelevant.

Exceed (the Guilty Gear board game system) is super fun and accurately recreates the decisions in a 2D fighting game sans the reaction time.
As a fighting game fan with bad reaction times, HIGHLY recommended.

Yep! Exceed is sort of the evolution of the Battlecon system - think battlecon with more traditional card game mechanics (Deck, card advantage, imperfect information, etc.). It's an incredible system, think you can still get the free Sol vs Ky decks to try it out on their website.

Goldlewis uses the phone magic, but i guess everyday magic doesn't count
