When he had more energy and stronger bones, we used to walk for hours along lake Michigan with that Martin you see him standing in front of. Precious little serendipitous moment that he gave me with this pic. We used to walk until he'd get tired, then stop somewhere along the lake to let him recharge, drink some water while I play something I think he'd like lol.
Was actually my first guitar, now my workhorse guitar because still sounds great after 10+ years, even compared to my Gibson. My Epi actually feels indestructible compared to my Gibson, but I love em both. They're both so good with a big muff + tube screamer
My wife and I had a lab and we would sometimes give him a voice and have him be like "DADDY! WHY WOULD YOU TAKE PERFECTLY GOOD WOOD AND MAKE IT LOUD!? WHO LIKES LOUD WOOD?! STOP PLAYING THE LOUD WOOD AND PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEE!" and it was super silly and a really good memory of the best boy ever. Thanks for bringing back that good memory, my friend. Cherish your axes, cherish that very good dog. :)
Labs are the best, they're so clever and goofy and regal all at once. My boy used to paw at my amp and try to bite it trying to understand it when he was a puppy. Wish I could share the video but not sure how in these comments

it is indeed green, sold as translucent teal, but id call it more of a forest green. also considered getting a black one, but I don't see many cool green guitars so i had to go with green
They do sound pretty similar, but the SG seems to have a bit more high-mid range clarity and generally more full sound across the fretboard, and also seems to have better sustain, especially with bends. I've played a bunch of high end guitars though, and my Epi can give them all a run for their money in terms of how it sounds. I will say, the SG is more comfortable to play though.
I notice many people with guitars tend to have a bass or two within the collection. I felt silly considering this myself but now I feel more enabled to get myself a bass and learn both one day :)

I don't have a Gibson to compare, but I still agree. Love the sound, I think it has a really unique character, especially for a guitar this "cheap".

Cool. Do the SG and epi ES335, casino? sound similar with their pickups?
They do sound pretty similar, but the SG seems to have a bit more high-mid range clarity and generally more full sound across the fretboard, and also seems to have better sustain, especially with bends. I've played a bunch of high end guitars though, and my Epi can give them all a run for their money in terms of how it sounds. I will say, the SG is more comfortable to play though.
