If you replaced the baffle you could do two 10's, four 8's or maybe one 15" or a single 12" of course. The lack of banana for scale is throwing me off.

Serious-Rutabaga-603

I’m sorry I didn’t have a banana. I wonder if I could do 4x10

BigBlackBeautyBoy

4x10 are underrated for sure. If not, 3x10 are supposed to be good too. You can put them all in different axis to reduce beaming. As in, none are lined up vertically or horizontally

FuzzTonez

I fucking love bananas!

Over_Blacksmith1930

This is likely an old hifi two way speaker cabinet. Not that it can’t be used for guitar, but the big rectangle hole was probably a tweeter originally.

Personal_Science_868

Nuh uh that's where the tone goes

Scottydanger72

Haaahaaaa..too funny..made me cough out my hit.

BigBlackBeautyBoy

Actually, it looks like a Thiele cabinet to me. That square hole is likely a port. If it were a tweeter it would be on top. I see the Jensen badge, and they were some of the best M.I. speakers of the day. If so, it would have a sealed back, same for a hi fi. Either way, the Jensen badge means it has some value. Might have been a ported hifi full range (single) speaker as well. I wouldn't change it myself, as it's tuned for that size speaker, and close the back. Second to that, maybe partial open back if you put a new baffle in it. I had a original Jensen p12q and it was one of the coolest sounding speakers I've heard. 10 tube watts was it's max though, but was so worth it. Whatever the case, dang nice score there!!!!

BigBlackBeautyBoy

If that's a cut out for a 12" that's an even better score. I've not seen even horns that big from that time period myself. One way to tell, is if there are screw holes around the square. If not, has to be a port. Might be worth $75-$100 to a Jensen freak if it's in good shape, so don't toss that baffle!!! Google image search is a good place to find out exactly what it is too.

vox_repeater

Making a guitar cabinet out of a birdhouse is the kind of super creative idea I can really get behind

BigBlackBeautyBoy

Thank you for your support. It may look like a birdhouse from your ivory tower, but it's actually a speaker cabinet. Ironic, being an optometrist and all. I didn't realize this was a roast and boast thread. You forgot to post a picture of your Dr. Z and show us what a "real amp" is....like some privileged, pencil necked crocodile dundee

vox_repeater

I don't even own a physical amp at the moment so I'm definitely not coming from any ivory tower of amps. I didn't mean any disrespect to the OP or their find which I think is awesome, I was just making a silly joke :)
