My brother-in-law (american) does not recommend ANY american branded vehicles. Lol. He can confirm that Ford is a “Giant Piece of Shit” lol.
Here in the Philippines, i had friends who purchased the Ford Focus noong unang labas niya dito. Hindi ma-ayos ayos ang transmission ng Focus.
Then yung sa Ford Philippines: Ranger and Everest (i forgot the specific unit models), these were recalled because of a [faulty Takata Airbag](https://www.ford.com.ph/owner/vehicle-support/takata-airbag-recall/).
Although in fairness, hindi lang naman Ford. Honda Philippines also did a recall on certain Civic units before the pandemic re: faulty front passenger airbags. Toyota Raize was also on recall din recently.
But from what my BIL says, the crappiest brand na naencounter niya mismo ay Ford kasama na ang customer service at his end. Lol
Sayang nga eh, kase i was eyeing the Ford Raptor when it was first announced here. BIL screamed at me over video call to NEVER EVER buy FORD. ANY model ng FORD. Sya yung nag panic (parang PTSD 😮💨) for my sake. Hahahah. Amerikano na nag bash ng produkto nila, so i just settled for a Nissan. So far, no complaints naman coming from me. Lol
Better to read on some forums or groups ng Ford Everest, Kapatid, before you purchase.
I browsed FB Group ng Nissan Kicks just last month AFTER i did a test drive. Pucha, meron mga customer complaints after two to three weeks of their newly purchased Kicks. 😭😮💨 ah yes, i remember nag recall ang Nissan ng unang launched Kicks nila due to aircon problems. Lol
So just to be safe and sure, mag hanap ka muna ng mga customer feedbacks ng Everest. 👍🏻
There's a big ass parking lot beside my place. I work night shift so I'm usually awake until 6am. A couple of weeks ago around 2am, a parked car suddenly turned on the headlights and breaklights. About 30 mins later, the right side lights died and only the left side was still on. Parking lot security guard approached the car and checked if someone was inside. Saw that no one was inside, shrugged it off and then went back to his post. Before I went to bed around 6am, the car's left half lights are still on. It was a brand spanking new 2023 Ford Everest.
I bought a 2010 Toyota Altis and a 2011 Ford Focus. I’m assuming I treated them about the same. In 2018 the odometer of the focus stopped working. Luckily I had sold it before that happened for 200k+. I know it happened because buyer complained to me after a month or so. Ako naman, sorry, you saw it was working before you bought. Except for a minor aircon thing in 2019, I never had a problem with the 2010 Altis. Sold it in 2021 for 290k++.
That’s purely anecdotal but that’s why I don’t really think I’m getting a Ford again.

As a Ranger owner, it's those bullshit preprogrammed automatic headlights. I have to constantly look back to check if it's turned off after a ride.
