“In my heart and soul, this is what I’m hoping for” Is what Arteta actually said. He never said he believes they will. Clickbait garbage

Francis-c92

Too late. Gotten carried away.

hypnodrew

Not even a misrepresentation of what he said, it literally means a different thing altogether

suspended_in_light

Shameless

VitalizeIV

What do you expect from the British media, it’s all just tabloid garbage that misrepresents what people say to maximise clicks

tarpdetarp

Unfortunately most football reporting is clickbait garbage now. I only really read The Athletic as they don’t operate with that model.

TheSlavicFish

On the day before their game against Spurs, Arteta Will be cooking... Lasagna.

Proper-Exam1746

Youssi Benayoun on a 1 match loan to West Ham last day against City... Well history should repeat.. 😀

And I hope that 115 fc gets fucking liquidated.

squeezycakes20

just win all our games not a simple task, especially going to OT don't think about anything else

LeonDeSchal

He has to. I hope he’s right. But also don’t lose to Villa. Here’s to trying again next year. I’m just happy we’re even talking about being in another title race. We’ve come far.

Flabby-Nonsense

You gotta believe, otherwise why are you watching?

MaseratiBiturbo

We lost the title against Villa , end of story...

Redandwhite_91

Shouldn’t have forced an out of form Zinny and Jesus into the line up and blighted our chances by losing at home to Villa then 🤷 Downvote party, get locked and loaded.

okcomput3r

Then you complain that he doesn't rotate the team.

Redandwhite_91

Rotation is to be versus weaker teams. Rotate players when you’re 3-0, which we’ve been plenty of times this year. But vs a 4th place team, bringing in two of your most off colour players? Come on!

jamb23

"Blighted our chances"? This is some entitled shit

Redandwhite_91

Play a full team, struggle and then expect to win is entitled shit. FAFO is what we did. Now we deal with it. Simples.

jamb23

You saying that Arteta blighted our chances by getting the line up wrong in one league game in 2024 is some entitled shit. He took the kind of gamble Guardiola makes 2-3 times a season, it didn't pay off, for you to pin the blame on him for that one game is pathetic Also who the fuck still quotes compare the meerkat in 2024

Redandwhite_91

That’s unfortunately the standard set by City that 1 error is 1 too many. An unforced one is just that. We really needn’t fuck around vs a team in 4th. This wasn’t an error vs Luton or Sheffield ffs

jamb23

Sure, but it's an impossible error to actually verify against the alternative. What if he'd played the same team 4 games in a row in two weeks and Trossard or Jorginho got injured? You'd say he blighted our season by running our players into the ground. Playing Jesus and Zinchenko is not the same as playing youth team players - given their ability and their cost they should have been able to get a result but it wasn't to be.

Redandwhite_91

We had games where there was an opportunity to rest players and we played them through those. Then come Villa, a top team, we rest. It’s incomprehensible. We were also up by 3 goals a few times when we couldve subbed our starters off. But you know Saka, Rice, Gabriel and Saliba played a full 90 or thereabouts. I don’t understand why this sub cannot stand any criticism of our players or management. They get all due praise for their work, but it’s fair to call an error for what it is too.

jamb23

There's an obvious difference between saying "maybe he shouldn't have rested players Vs Villa" and saying it's blighted our season with a shrug emoji. The former is a fair point, the latter is being a smug edgy contrarian and then being all upset when people call you out on it

Redandwhite_91

It did fuck our season up. You work 8 months towards a goal, almost get there and then undo it because of favoritism. It muddles 8 months of work. Edgy? LOL this sub doesn’t like any criticism of the overlords. Quite obvious.

stockdeity

Well im in the minority that agrees with everything you said.

jamb23

Rotating players is favouritism? I think I'm done, this argument is very circular, and you're clearly having a great time playing this noble character who speaks truth to power. Fingers crossed Arsenal don't ruin it for you by winning the league

owl_jojo_2

I had a bad dream that we drew 2-2 to Bournemouth

YoungFlexibleShawty

Go back to bed until u have a proper dream

Mansuke

I had a dream that Timber played against Bournemouth and it went really well, the match also took place in a multi-story car park though which I don't really understand......
