The color shifting effect itself is called *iridescence.* Marketing being what it is, though, the paints that have the effect don't always use the right word and the paints that *use that word* don't always have the right visual effect.   All that said, I can think of three main ways to get what you're looking for:   Simple method?   * Look for an iridescent or color-shifting yellow or gold paint. Pick one and use it.   Complex, more gold-looking:  * Black primer. Skippable but I often see this recommended for *better* metallic colors.  * Gold main color. There's a lot of variety in gold paints: some are more yellow, orange, washed-out or saturated, et cetera. Pick one you like.   Complex, more yellow looking:  * Base color: chrome silver. For an easier but worse-looking effect, you can use paint—I like Tamiya's Chrome Silver—but for a better result, there's at least [one brand](https://www.bare-metal.com/Using-Bare-Metal-Foil.html) that makes metal foil for use on models. * Transparent yellow paint or ink to tint the color. Fine-point sharpie is the cheapest way to do this.  Bandai uses the second method for its more reflective metallic colors.  Both fancier methods end the same way:  * Iridescent clear coat, topcoat, varnish, etc. to create the color-shifting finish. There are lots of words for what's basically the same thing: clear paint. Poking around a bit, this stuff isn't insanely *common* in iridescent form but it does exist. Best I could tell, here's some in [spray](https://www.amazon.com/Mod-Podge-Iridescent-Acrylic-Sealer/dp/B087MYB6ZX/ref=asc_df_B087MYB6ZX?tag=bngsmtphsnus-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=79852149837935&hvnetw=s&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=m&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583451676217146&psc=1) and [hand-paint](https://www.amazon.com/FolkArt-44380-Dragonfly-Multi-Surface-Spectrum/dp/B07QM9P2M6/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.W6d9E1eeQA0t8iHQSS74N1qWVNY5L8N2L4_C8IUtmfkwMsZXGfrAsDMEyEFT5nBOazYkArVI71OPaixk_OY5k6Zg-oNib_WzkG5CpKCIxCQqXEFf24_HXC19JairBeOAwPs497OOmHhK7QFtlJ92eX4qYgPVD_Y0C7AHnF5bFpqvmlttH_P1rtYDl19lD4XEMQ5BjzaTscxGOBg_L9v5jA.2-r1aibcdpMw46IiH7iWmEIR_BROEvvhOFxNrevNUXc&dib_tag=se&keywords=iridescent+spray+paint&qid=1713536631&sr=8-10) forms. Fair warning that I haven't actually tried to create this kind of effect before myself so I really couldn't say how *hard it is* to pull off.

Thank you for the information, I see so its called Iridescent. I found that Tamiya made Iridescent spray can. Is that also a good option? Ok nevermind, the Tamiya Spray one will break the plastic

Tamiya has two and a half different spray paint lines:   Tamiya spray paints marked as TS-# or AS-# are meant for general model use: they're safe as long as you use a light touch. Being too heavy-handed can still damage plastic but you need to really overdo it . . . Which I like to mention anyway because I've still *done that before.*  Tamiya sprays marked PS-# are more aggressive and dangerous to use on regular plastic because they're meant for a very specific use case. I've seen *one person* mention using it on regular plastic just fine but it seems like the kind of thing to be very careful with and test out on things like scrap plastic and Entry Grades.   Looking through the Tamiya USA website, their iridescent paints are all two-color versions anyway. This *does* match your second photo but that would need specifically yellow-to-green iridescence, which I didn't see in the list.   If you do manage to find yellow-to-green color shifting paint, I think the best way to match the photo would be to start with chrome silver then go over it with a *light* touch of the color shift paint and hope that the metallic look shows through.

I want to paint the Eternal Star Glory's frame so it could have the rainbow effect like HG Lunagazer and I found these markers called "Gundam Marker Ex Holographic", which ones do you guys think is better for the Gold Frame? https://preview.redd.it/lhn8p9w30fvc1.png?width=894&format=png&auto=webp&s=963dcb9214bea612de2f056175edb169d373e63f

The thing is that number 3 looks like an ugly yellow to me though

Honestly think it'll fit well with the white and don't think those low res pics I've seen advertised do it justice. But if you think it looks ugly, then choose a different option. Its whatever makes you satisfied with what you've done after all (Also did you topcoat the white?)

No, the picture above was another user's build
