This one does look really good! Any paint involved or does it look this good ‘out of the box’?
Just started buying some KO’s 1/144’s on AE to see if i’ll like it. But a daban 8801 1/100 snook into my cart as well.
Hello Thank you so much! I dont use any paint, just do 2 layer top coat, one glossy > panel line + decal > Smooth clear matt top coat last.
Have fun with your new kits!
If i were to do it, I will separate each limb then gloss clear coat. Keep it that way while panel lining, decal and top coat.
Don’t know how OP does it tho, might be different than me.
If there’s a panel covering other panels, I’d take it off so the clear coat can cover all armor surfaces.
Don’t ever spray anything when parts are still in the runner. You will have a hard time removing nubmarks while trying to keep the paint from chipping off.
Wow! Thanks for the response. I’ll keep this in mind. This community is wild with answering questions. I feel like a needy kid so, I am sorry if I took your time!
i stopped building gunplas when my kid was only 3yrs old..but now that he's 11,and just last week he wanted to build his own gunpla..bought the kit,the next day..just teach him the basic cutting, and he wanted another kit after finishing his 1st hg..😁😁😁

Sorry to chain ask things, you clear coat with gloss, then panel line? Do you break things apart? This is fucking gorgeous!!!

Thank you for the answer!!!! When you remove a limb, are you popping panels off? Would it be beneficial to spray clear coat on sprue?

No problem bro. Im still learning too.
I'm a total newbie, what's the benefit of the first gloss coat before lining and decals? Does it protect the plastic or something?
Yes it protect the plastic from the panel liner.
Thanks!!
Yes, Clear coat first then panel line & decals

Awesome comeback, congrats! What strikes me most is the picture quality, which camera did you use for these shots?
Thank you! I use portrait mode on iPhone 15 Pro Max.
this is awesome! i’m a total noob - do you panel line with fine tip markers or pour type?
Thank you! Im using pour type, and clean it with thinner
But careful to use a thinner, not all thinner can be use. I use Tamiya Enamel Thinner

Thank you so much!
