When I bought the project card the next day I immediately went and picked the most saloon esc suit I could and waited to build it till I decided on my trim panel paint color just to make sure they'd match.
I'm not a car guy, but this instantly reminded me of my grandmothers Mercury Grand Marquis and I love it. It was the same color and looked similar (to me).
Part of the same saloon style car of the mid 90s both have big v8s, luxury *for the time* interiors, and came in 2 tone paint often with *cigarette mom* champeign gold as one of those tones. I love the 90s gold but I have a soft spot for those old cars in burgundy
I do think they are the perfect amount of luxurious, they have heft and substance and are comfortable but not excessive. I think it's awesome you based a gundam model on your car, I like the style of car and a GM is the perfect choice to use to honor it.
Yes I do and I'm gonna have to do it again unfortunately even under a sun screen it got too hot. Little over sight I was to excited about showing them off I forgot it was summer.
Oh I meant the car, sorry 😅
Also yeaaaaah, not sure how you didn't see that one coming 😬
Oh well, gives you a chance to do it better the next time! (And maybe keep them inside this time haha)
Oh yeah hindsight 20/20, but both of the originals where far from perfect so the new ones should both be improvements. On the upside they make for very cool modern art pieces/wreckage for diorama
Am I crazy or is that the same/similar car from the anime GTO? Excellent job on the paint and color scheme for the GM. Something about that generation of cars there is something nostalgic and it seemed like a peak of automotive engineering at the time.
Yes they care close the car in good was the economy Japanese version of my car the Japanese luxury is the toyota celsior and the American is the ls400 and.the cream of the crop is the toyota crown
Well The irony in it is that today is the hottest day of the year in mississippi and at exactly 12:00 I was working under the hood looked at the dash and watched both of them curl into candy wrappers. Thermostat gunned it and the dash was 115°F

For the driveway.
Build looks sweet! As does the car
Read this in a app notification and expected megas XLR, but this paint job is sick. If I could make a GM into a car livery I would have I'd add a zaku fin to mimick thee antenna on top of a car
Dash is Hella cracked 30 year old car sun damage, dashmat protects and reduces heat, not enough for the models they melted but enough so the car doesn't fog my glasses.
Lovely car.
Very sick vehicle; wicked Gundam too!
Thank you 🫡
A model of your car inside your car is a beautiful thing.
Thank you it was a labor of love while I waited on the final parts to put her on the road again.
Love the LS400 and super saloons in general. Glad to see another person who’s into both cars and gunpla

They suit each other very well. I wonder what mobile suit best suits a black Saab 9000 aero?
Custom paint a gm cannon II, or better yet deans island guncannon with that sleek head unit design
Pilot, I offer you an accord
Love that 1:1 LS!
Clean!

my other car is a GM
I have a Crikut and I might make this comment into a sticker
Those colors work perfectly!
my first thought when you said car mech was Megas XLR but thats a nice paint job!
Ur GM came with enough spare parts to make a 1/1 car? This a p-bandai release?
Great car and great paint job. I'm a sucker for a project car, wishing you the best in your journey!
Thanks I've replaced everything I could down to the ecu I'm resoddering some capacitors today and then it'll be road/meet worthy again.
You do the paint work yourself? Looks great!
Yes I do and I'm gonna have to do it again unfortunately even under a sun screen it got too hot. Little over sight I was to excited about showing them off I forgot it was summer.

Daaaang, sorry about your models D:
It'll be very popular at meets for sure. I'm so sorry about your models though. This heat is doing too much. It's kept me away from my local meets. I'm just trying to admire the Supras and Mazdas 😩
lol I love this idea!
Perfection.

Right, that’s what I thought. Gotta love how the western market labels it as a Lexus even though in just about every other country it’s a Toyota.
Sweet
I got confused for a sec, always funny to see 2 subreddits I follow overlap.

Great taste in cars too! I had a 97 LS400 that had 250k miles on it before I sold.
BROWN
Love it, love all of this
Hell yeah, I've got my sazabi hg on the dash of my car
I love that you have a scale model of your car in your car. Nice wheels, too.

Yoooooooo Y not make it a hood ornament?
I half expected to see one of the Tomica Zaku Cars lmao
What a good combo.
Hahaha im imagining a gundam hood ornament now. How do you get it to stand and not fall while driving?
Nice painting

Why your dash have carpet?
