Well it doesn't suck. If it were me I'd get some simple stands to do some action poses with and keep the timelines together. Looks like you have a Strike on the same stand as the Wing.
This might sound crazy, but if I had your collection, I would devote the top shelf to only the mgex and mg nu with each having their own half of the shelf. I’d then put all 1/144 scale figures on the bottom shelf, but only display maybe 5-7 figures at a time. You can keep the rest elsewhere or in boxes, then sub out the figures you display on the shelf.
Like said already lighting as well as whatever effect and stand/stage and background or whatever diorama stuffs would make quite a difference.
This one I recently ran across on timeline looks cool as well

There are many stuffs and ideas out there I reckon.
I wish there was a daiso near me so I could go pick a couple of those up. Everything on Amazon is either overpriced or too big 😬. Thanks for bringing these to my attention though.
Cheap mirror for a purpose of makeup is near perfect for figure/kit display is pretty amazing, I looked up by "LED ミラー (mirror)" on those online shops but, while those are better function and quality as facial mirror, none are even close. I always prefer AC/USB powered as battery is nuisance, but being such cheap, one can just have it, and yeah can get some ideas from it as well.
ありがとう!I think if I can get to Japan again, maybe instead of looking for more gunpla, I'll start with finding a couple of these mirrors. Alternatively I think there might be a Daiso in San Francisco that could have one...but anyways thank you for the idea!

I use acrylic riser to spread them more out vertically
Throw away the toys and put some intellectual books on there. Like The Art of the Deal.
Seriously though. Sick collection. I think lighting might be key.
there are 2 things that I always do to my shelf
1. same size, if you have different sizes, put them on a different level
2. consider putting the kits that have the same color, or come from the same series/timeline together
More grunts or just pose your figures and maybe some led lights and probably try to use some of the op shelf space as that still qualify as a shelf and so that it does look too cluttered up
I'd say curate what you display and rotate stuff in and out. Having a few models out can make individual items stand out more than having everything displayed at once.
* Sort your kits by size and split the shelves by size: 1st shelf > mg > 2nd shelf > hg
* Sort them by series or by a theme (rivals, UC, wing series, transformable suits etc.)
* Get more action bases to do more dynamic poses
* Get acrylic step risers to allow kits behind them to still look good and get dynamic poses.

This is how am doing mine. Mirrors on the side. Backdrops and floors printed on foam and ledstrip on top
Lighting, whether multicolored or not would work wonders for your shelf right here
I do find it funny though how me and you have our Barbados mg's in the exact same pose
I think you’ve already got some awesome poses, I would just change the arrangements on each shelf. Try having a mix of different grades with 1/100 in the back and 1/144 in front of them. That uses your shelf space more efficiently.
If I had more stands, I would. Maybe I’ll purchase some lighting in the future, as a lot of people said. No, I won’t rotate between Gunpla for my display, but I do occasionally repose some. Yes, the Strike is not in the best condition, but I’ve been eyeing the MG. Im currently trying to get a Sazabi, whether that be MG or RG.
I'm serious though. My friend have a cabinet with glass cover so he doesn't need to dust off his gunplas. I display mine on my desk and it's a chore to clean the dust so I decided to put them on the boxes for now.
Actual poses would go a long way. I find it so boring when they're all just standing like NPCs.
As stated, better lighting. Probably some actual color. Maybe put a floor at the bottom of each shelf to give it some variety.
Step shelving as well, so it doesn't look so horizontal. You can fit some boxes to run along the back of the shelf
I think you really just need some lighting. Get some cheap led strips and go nuts.
Doll furniture. Chairs, table, rug. Tiny bar with a TV.
Needs more zgok. Like a lot more, if you ever think there's enough you're wrong you need more.
Like after 100 zgoks get 200 more then you should be a quarter of the way there
Remember, if there's space. There is space for Z'Goks

What are thoooooooose
More gunpla, duh! But yea lighting.
whats with the strike
i dropped him
depends on how you want to display your backlog, some would improvise their backlog with LED setup or display them in unique posed
Massive combat scene? Dunno other than that, mines pretty boring as well
Glass (or some transparent cover) and lighting.
If you have the budget, you can change the shelf into a glass shelf so you won’t have to constantly clean your Gunplas.
Mine looks almost exactly the same so thanks for asking! Stealing the ideas.
I would paint the shelf matt black or gray and put led light strips hidden into new front trim pieces.
What I wanna know is what is going on with that strike Gundam
hes damaged…
Ah.
Replace the piece of shit strike freedom with the better looking freedom gundam. /j
Get a new shelf
Throw away the toys and put some intellectual books on there. Like The Art of the Deal. Seriously though. Sick collection. I think lighting might be key.
Lights, some kind of background, put more of them on stands?
Make them fight
there are 2 things that I always do to my shelf 1. same size, if you have different sizes, put them on a different level 2. consider putting the kits that have the same color, or come from the same series/timeline together
Flame throwers are always a nice touch alternatively some like mid 2000s fire shirts for the background
Less is more sometimes
Add a Tallgeese & a Leo
More grunts or just pose your figures and maybe some led lights and probably try to use some of the op shelf space as that still qualify as a shelf and so that it does look too cluttered up
Looks great IMO
More gundam
Led? Or make the shelf look like a spaceship or spacebase hangar
Diorama background with a couple of small LED strips for ambience?
We can do so much with the MGex freedom but most people only pop the one pose. I think it's funny
Risers Light Glass cover
Why does your Strike Gundam have a plastic wrap around it's waist?
the peg connection to the torso snapped inside
a Sazabi
More cow bell
you should start by removing that mgex and giving it to me
I purchased these cheap RGB cabinet puck lights that made my shelf look better. Maybe start there.
Build more kits 🤌
Is that Strike heavily taped?
yes
Add a background maybe? lighting helps
add more kits, obviously
Needs an Akane Soir figure.
I'd say curate what you display and rotate stuff in and out. Having a few models out can make individual items stand out more than having everything displayed at once.
Less crowding, more lighting. LED strips FTW.
More Gundam's
Hanger stands You can buy hanger stands, and they clip together. Build a massive hanger

More gunpla
Needs more Gouf
https://preview.redd.it/b543bpzqlq8d1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3133eaa65298ba41661b0c3ea0b0fd09addfdbce This is how am doing mine. Mirrors on the side. Backdrops and floors printed on foam and ledstrip on top
Put a black panel behind them with holes it it, and random LEDs blinking to simulate a star field behind them
Install mirrors in the back to add more depth

Send me your collection and start again. This is the only solution!
More action bases to do cool poses
What's the length and width of each layer of the shelf?
I'm planning to get a shelf as well, how do you dust off those gunplas? Especially when there's ton of them and there's no glass to cover.
That’s a funny joke
I'm serious though. My friend have a cabinet with glass cover so he doesn't need to dust off his gunplas. I display mine on my desk and it's a chore to clean the dust so I decided to put them on the boxes for now.
I don’t really clean them, they don’t get that dusty for me. I do sometimes repose, and sometimes I’ll just wipe the surface.
I see. Thanks
More TWFM mechs :3
Add more Gunpla :3
Is that the MGEX Strike Freedom?
It looks like it
Actual poses would go a long way. I find it so boring when they're all just standing like NPCs. As stated, better lighting. Probably some actual color. using pla plates
So fucking cool those MG Gelgoog...... Just put some light and some stand and your collection goes awesome
