mine was the MG Tallgeese III, which I finished last year, have the full MG collection. Next grail is the RX-78GP03D which I have just need to get around to doing it, it's going to take so long to do so I've held off.
I do like the Tallgeese but only have the original MG. Have been tempted to grab II, III and Flugel but have not quite made the jump on those. Until I paint my first Tallgeese, I am gonna hold off getting more.
Tallgeese suits were my grail almost immediately after starting the hobby... 3yrs ago now I think? I love the Tallgeese, Wing as just okay at best as it is, was the one that I saw first, and the Tallgeese is just the best. At some point when I've got most of the kits I want (working on getting the last few MG EW Wing protag suits and the MG Zaku and Gouf lines) I plan to go back and get another one or two Tallgeese kits, I want to build the tallgoose just because, it's dumb. and hopefully by then I'll understand more about the model kits and I'll be able to pain stuff I'd like to do some custom paint job Tallegeese. Right now I'm just trying to dip my feet into the waters of wet and dry decals. Need to figure out top coating stuff and all that, shit is complicated. But once I figure that stuff out my MG Zaku collection will start.

I ended up buying the Robot Spirits figure version so I could have an interactive and playable one on my shelf since it’s one of my fav suits of all time.

Yep that nub at the end of the shoulder joints has KO’d many thunderbolt ver ka. I nearly did it myself but thankfully someone on this sub warned me to clip the nubs at the ends of the shoulder joints. If I would’ve broken that thing I would’ve cried for days, thunderbolt is my favorite series.
Waited for a year before I was able to find this kit (in Canada). Not sure why, but it is one of my favourite Bandai mobile suits. Might have gone a little overboard with the G-Rework decals but it looks good on the shelf.
Still on the hunt for the Deep Striker and Fazz, to finish up my MG grails. Then might might move onto PGs
As a fellow MK-V lover I don't think the decals are too much at all. I got about 3/4ths through the fulll g-rework set you have before I burned out and decided mine was good enough, but yours looks even better.
I wish I'd though to color the framework of the inner parts of the box launchers blue, would have been brilliant.
Picked up the Noblesse Oblige Full package from the recent reprints.
Just started to build and happy to report the plastic isn't brittle so far for the reprint.

I guess it could be any kit that you don't have but usually the "Holy Grail" is often a kit that you want which is hard to find/source, limited or out of print.
That would be the FAZZ, which is weirdly not the same thing as the Full Armor ZZ Gundam. Confusing, I know lol. The main difference is that the FAZZ had a limited production run (of three, all of which were deployed in combat) rather than the single unit Full Armor ZZ proper, and it can’t transform because it can’t eject its extra armor. It also doesn’t have the beam sabers the prototype Full Armor ZZ has. That actually ended up canonically being the reason all three of the sortied units were taken down actually; the Gundam Mk-V took them all out in melee combat where they couldn’t do anything.

And fun fact: the Ver Ka version actually can be built without its armor even though canonically that makes no sense, and it was brought up to Katoki in an interview, which he then tackles in a dryly humorous way in the instruction booklet for the kit:

I keep walking past the HG Mudrock at my local store while I'm waiting for a possible reprint one day, but no way I'm pulling the trigger for 6000-7000 yen for it when it's MSRP is only 2200 (+660 for delivery).
I was already burnt once when I overpaid for a kit I wanted, only for it to get a reprint shortly after..

The PG Unicorn Perfectibility was my Grail kit for a while… I’m not quite sure if I have one I’d call a “Grail” kit right now, but I’m sure I’ll find one.
It was a planned expense so I made sure I was able to, but even then I really hesitated - but no regrets. I absolutely love how it came out and the whole process and build was a joy.

I’ve always wanted the mg heavyarms with all the add ons but the blue one instead of the orange one. Still don’t have it.
Also always wanted the pg unicorns with all the Kosmos lights. And for some reason i wanted that all black shiny unicorn that’s kinda purple and costs thousands.
1/400 Dendrobium Vs Neue Zeil. Was able to find one for a killer price on Amazon of all places the beginning of the year. It was even better than I hoped. Some interesting design choices like having clear beam saber blades that came painted clear yellow and red, but it was a well designed kit.
The FAZZ Ver Ka is one of my grails. I don't have it but I sure as hell wish I could find one.

MG Titus. I emailed Bandai, and they said it wasn't technically discontinued. They just aren't printing it at the moment. This was 5 years ago, mind you. I had one pre-ordered from Side 7 Exports (this was before I knew what that site was), and that douche never sent the kit or refunded me despite emailing me several times that they had it on hand.
I've got a couple. One of them was the gold plated MG Phenex, but now that I own it and also know there's a narrative version, I'm going to have to somehow get my hands on addon parts for it at some point. There are others, but I've got lower quality versions of their kits, so I can make due. Aside from the Astray Red Dragon. Bamco just doesn't want my money for that. They'd make it something I can get at least the HG through retail if they wanted that.
That being said my holy grail of gunpla holy grails, at least until I find something I want more, which, admittedly, there are things that cost less but are as about as hard to get, is the pearl gloss PG Wing Zero Custom. If they ever release an updated version that includes the new features from the new Ver. Ka. MG, That might BECOME the most expensive kit on my list.
FAZZ Ver Ka. Got a few of my other Grails already and Heavyarms Custom on the way in September.
My only other Grail doesn't exist as a kit yet (Prometheus Gundam).
Oh, I have far too many Eleanors on my wishlist than is healthy for someone with a massive backlog.
Aoshima's Interceptor kit from Mad Max and any of Fujimi's RX-8 Mazdaspeed kits are two of the car grails on my list. The former goes for triple digit prices easy and the latter are so rare, even Mandarake doesn't show any listings for them.
Mecha-wise, Bandai's VF-2SS kit is a grail because it's the only Macross II kit that's not ludicrously hard to find Not that there are that many Macross II kits or merch in general; hopefully, Bandai makes an updated HG kit for it. On the subject of Macross, I would love to own one of Max Factory's massive 1/20 VF-1 kits in either fighter or gerwalk mode, but that's a $400-500 giant ass kit that I would have no room for. Still, a man can dream.
Other random grails are Kotobukiya's Danboard kit (I'm a fan of Yotsuba&), Bandai's Kamen Rider Skull and Kamen Rider FangJoker kits (I'm a fan of Kamen Rider W), and any of Hasegawa's Egg Girls Volkwagen buses (I'm a fan of T1 busses and itasha).
Edit: I would also like a Momokapool kit to kitbash it into a Sanakapool.

One of my grails would be the MK V lineage all in the same scale. Either make MGs of the Wolf/Bullet/Supressor or make a MK V in 1/144th. Make the squad match man, and reprint the Doven Wolf more often.
My newest grail would be the MG Advanced Hazel with double Hrududu set and an extra Shield Booster for the right arm. Imma be pairing with my MG double Owsla.

Looks amazing good job!! My Grail kit of which I have but not built is my 1988 full action rx 93 nu Gundam it has metal parts in it I suggest you look it up also the old late 80 s shin musha Gundams with first generation ms joints.
PG GP-02A. If it ever becomes a thing I'll be quick to snatch it up. As far as a kit that has been produced, HG Dendrobium. The funny thing is I've never watched the entirety of 0083 but I feel in love with those suits when it assembled across the action figures in Walmart back when I was a kid. I'll own the Dendrobium someday and I will find a space up properly display. Just probably not anytime in the near future

JP and US stores seem to have different reprint schedules. The last HG Mudrock reprint in Japan was back in July of 2020.

I’ve always wanted the mg heavyarms with all the add ons but the blue one instead of the orange one. Still don’t have it. Also always wanted the pg unicorns with all the Kosmos lights. And for some reason i wanted that all black shiny unicorn that’s kinda purple and costs thousands.

1/400 Dendrobium Vs Neue Zeil. Was able to find one for a killer price on Amazon of all places the beginning of the year. It was even better than I hoped. Some interesting design choices like having clear beam saber blades that came painted clear yellow and red, but it was a well designed kit.

This was actually one of them and I was so happy to secure one. Amazing kit and I really hope/wish they do the silver bullet and silver bullet suppressor in MG form. My other grail pieces were PG Phenex and PG perfectibility. Phenex was achieved for my birthday last October and Perfectibility will come this September all thanks to PBUSA

MG Titus. I emailed Bandai, and they said it wasn't technically discontinued. They just aren't printing it at the moment. This was 5 years ago, mind you. I had one pre-ordered from Side 7 Exports (this was before I knew what that site was), and that douche never sent the kit or refunded me despite emailing me several times that they had it on hand.

Probably the MG Jesta Cannon
I've got a couple. One of them was the gold plated MG Phenex, but now that I own it and also know there's a narrative version, I'm going to have to somehow get my hands on addon parts for it at some point. There are others, but I've got lower quality versions of their kits, so I can make due. Aside from the Astray Red Dragon. Bamco just doesn't want my money for that. They'd make it something I can get at least the HG through retail if they wanted that. That being said my holy grail of gunpla holy grails, at least until I find something I want more, which, admittedly, there are things that cost less but are as about as hard to get, is the pearl gloss PG Wing Zero Custom. If they ever release an updated version that includes the new features from the new Ver. Ka. MG, That might BECOME the most expensive kit on my list.

Oh, I have far too many Eleanors on my wishlist than is healthy for someone with a massive backlog. Aoshima's Interceptor kit from Mad Max and any of Fujimi's RX-8 Mazdaspeed kits are two of the car grails on my list. The former goes for triple digit prices easy and the latter are so rare, even Mandarake doesn't show any listings for them. Mecha-wise, Bandai's VF-2SS kit is a grail because it's the only Macross II kit that's not ludicrously hard to find Not that there are that many Macross II kits or merch in general; hopefully, Bandai makes an updated HG kit for it. On the subject of Macross, I would love to own one of Max Factory's massive 1/20 VF-1 kits in either fighter or gerwalk mode, but that's a $400-500 giant ass kit that I would have no room for. Still, a man can dream. Other random grails are Kotobukiya's Danboard kit (I'm a fan of Yotsuba&), Bandai's Kamen Rider Skull and Kamen Rider FangJoker kits (I'm a fan of Kamen Rider W), and any of Hasegawa's Egg Girls Volkwagen buses (I'm a fan of T1 busses and itasha). Edit: I would also like a Momokapool kit to kitbash it into a Sanakapool.

One of my grails would be the MK V lineage all in the same scale. Either make MGs of the Wolf/Bullet/Supressor or make a MK V in 1/144th. Make the squad match man, and reprint the Doven Wolf more often.
My newest grail would be the MG Advanced Hazel with double Hrududu set and an extra Shield Booster for the right arm. Imma be pairing with my MG double Owsla.

The funny thing is I've never watched the entirety of 0083 but I feel in love with those suits when it assembled across the action figures in Walmart back when I was a kid. I'll own the Dendrobium someday and I will find a space up properly display. Just probably not anytime in the near future
