Stage in Peachtree Corners. You can get a bunch of small plates and/or split an entree.

krxstvl

This!!

spellstrike

this place was always a favorite when we went https://www.kurtsrestaurant.com/ PORK SHANK "SCHWEINEHAXE" and the bananas al la foster are memorable experiences.

Any-Exchange5791

This is a great option.

Jadence474

Sugo in John’s Creek comes to mind!

PiltracExige

Yes, I’m always surprised how inexpensive and delicious it is. Still not cheap but you can definitely have a lovely, upscale experience for under $150. Also the owner and his wife are often there and are lovely to chat with.

Antiv6

Sugo is a great choice. I’d throw falling rabbit into the mix if you want something under $150.

Dapup2465

Just had my wedding rehearsal dinner there. Highly recommend. Nara in Johns Creek is solid too. Rumis in Alpharetta too.

Photon_Femme

Falling Rabbit is amazing!

NeedARita

Not so much upscale, but Revolving Sushi is really fun.

BadMoonRosin

Haven't been to Stoney River since pre-COVID, so hopefully it hasn't fallen off. But that was a date night favorite. For an "experience" that's a little more off the beaten path, Kurt's Bistro in Duluth is a fantastic German restaurant.

BedValuable8288

Used to go fairly regularly. Went once during later part of COVID. It’s not the same. I think they got bought or something. Haven’t gone back.

virtual008

Heard about this place for years. Finally went. My opinion is they are over rated. At these prices I’ll pick Capital Grille all day long over Stoney. Just my experience.

BadMoonRosin

Neat story, but OP asked about Gwinnett. If they were driving into town, then there's another dozen+ places I would mention ahead of Capital Grille.

virtual008

I get it. Just sharing. Off topic but where would you go over the Grille? I like CG because it is just very consistent. I know what I’m going to get.

fifthflower

Technically not Gwinnett, but not far from the northern parts of Gwinnett. Passador Brazilian Steakhouse in Alpharetta. Fogo has nothing on it. The food is incredible and the service is stellar. I seriously can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Passador Brazilian Steakhouse https://g.co/kgs/MtDS79k

I had no idea! This was prob my first time ever even sharing a link in a comment. Thank you for letting me know.

kyletheerhino

My wife and I like going to Local on North in downtown Duluth… we go all out (appetizer, entrees, cocktails, dessert) and I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $150.

Atllane296

Bottles & Bones in Suwanee by Town Center Park. Also Raik Mediterranean just opened up next to there. And then off 85 north also in Suwanee is Cuts Steakhouse👌🏻

ShaneReyno

Stony River in Duluth or Pappadeaux in Norcross

Whatabout-Dre

Parkside District!

jigglyjellly

Luciano’s! The food is so good

tewong

Came here to say this! If you have a bit bigger budget, their sister restaurant Frankie’s is a super nice steakhouse.

cronelogic

Antebellum in Flowery Branch. I don’t know if they’ve restarted the early evening live jazz evenings on the lawn yet, but even if not, the ambiance, food and service are top-notch.

andyclement

Local Republic in downtown Lawrenceville.

Interesting-Meal-743

Noosh kitchen Mediterranean in John's Creek. Check their website menu. Interior is nothing special but the food is amazing. It's located next to great food store from middle eastern 😋

RandomWeenFan

Bare bones steakhouse in buford is great.

Chibs24K

Try the Overlook in Duluth, it recently opened! Has all the upscale vibes and good food that ATL would have! It is right by the Gas South Convention Center off the Sugarloaf exit.

Frongie

Chubby Cattle Shabu

Hyperverbal777

There are enough nice restaurants in downtown Lawrenceville for you to walk in and out of to check out their menus and what they have to offer 🫴🏼 Free parking and everything is in a one block square. Pretty much very walkable. You can preview by going on Google Maps and checking out the images of each place 🤙🏼 some places have roof seating and outdoor. Really you can get whatever you want and then walk over to the Lawrenceville lawn and have a picnic 🧺

Realistic_Bluejay797

Since I'm not sure how far north you'd like to travel, I'll suggest Antebellum in Flowery Branch. Spectacular food. Thet are on Open Table & Yelp

ChromaLife

I don't know if it classifies as upscale, but Rico's World Cafe in Buford is really nice. You can eat very well there for your budget, and their cheaper options are also very good as well.

gollo9652

The new El Paso Tacos and Tequila has very good food and nice atmosphere. It’s more upscale than my kitchen table.

bruvisland

Frankie’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kwsik88

Pampas in Johns Creek. Should be under $150 without alcohol.

NeedARita

Volcano is pretty cool, too.

Elon-Tesla-

Antebellum (770) 965-8100 https://g.co/kgs/AbrnvT6
