Tall enough. I feel your pain. It just happens, and the older you get, the more pain you acquire in new places. For me it is my lower back on the right from a steadily worsening degenerative disk disease, and my arthritis in my shoulders and wrists.
Try to keep a good posture throughout the day. You will be surprised at just how often you slouch, which contributes to your back pain.
There’s an instagram page called low back ability that has changed my life. Knees over toes guy is another invaluable resource on YouTube and IG. Don’t quit, I brock my hip and herniated 4 discs in my back, depressed for years; but I’ve been able to build back and just completed my first ultra marathon. Check these pages out if you can senior, good luck 👍🏼.
No honestly there’s so many valuable resources for excercise, I just explore around for what my problem is, and try to make a plan. Following ultra runners on IG they give tons of tips and tricks!
See a chiro. You probably have something off and needs realigned. Remember that when you get adjusted your muscle memory will want to pull it back to where is familiar so stretch well. It just as important to do Sao as it is to strengthen.
You might want to stretch. I 6"3, and I have that problem if I don't stretch. Also, make sure your sitting and sleeping on surfaces meant for your back.
College. Period. College. Electrical engineering. Lot and lots and lots of sitting and mathing, programming, raging, circuits, irritation, Hägendas, perseverance, and a side of shame. We in it for the long term economic investment of time spent.
I studied mechanical engineering and i was definitely not the smartest in class so i had to put in lots of hours, no way to build a decent physique. But after i graduated and got a job and a consistent schedule, i have been able to get in better shape. So maybe when you are done you can focus on the gym.
Yes, i completely agree and that's absolutely not a problem. I meant the the years it takes for gains to accumulate to be considered jacked. Cant speed that up, just need to be patient.
Not having enough knowledge how to achieve it. I mean, sometimes motivation isn't enough. Learning something (usually how to do things) accurately slows me down hehe.
But anyway, if you really want something, you'll do everything 👌🏻
Post like this driving me crazy. This is essentially for people but nothing else to do but go to the gym all the time and discipline themselves like crazy. What happens when life goes on what if you have an aging parent or what if you have a divorce that ongoing like people have stuff in their lives they can’t just depend and focus 100%. I miss the 90s and then on social media to be like look what I can do. 100% attention seeking 💩🔥
Time. There's only so much to go around for a father of 3, going back to school, working a FTJ at 60+ hours a week, trying not to be an absentee dad.
Let me go back to 2-3 hours a day in the gym, I'll look phenomenal.
Over a year ago I was on top of my goals. Each day I was fitter, stronger, and more confident.
Then some family shit happened. Then work piled up. Then more family shit. Then a small mental breakdown. Then more work pressure. Rinse and repeat. Then my body got so sick a doctor told me I *have* to stop or else I'll be in hospital.
Throughout this period I'd try and keep on top of fitness. But the motivation and drive had evaporated. There's only excuses at this point.
One day I'll get back on top.
Firstly my heart. I’m training for 2,5-3 years. And when i’m training my pulse while doing an exercise is 170-180 then it drops to 140. It’s kinda weird feeling, especially when doctors can’t find ANY reason for that. I’m 16
Lack of dietary discipline
Lack of time management (i don’t have much time for exercise while focusing on rebuilding my career post-pandemic, but i have not tried to make time either)
It’s a shame too because my heart health is probably becoming poor; and i have 6 kids.

Why does my lower back hurt from walking for 10 mins even though I’m seeing improvements from working out (bench, etc)?
Are you tall?
Yes Edit: well lol actually nah I’m 5’11

Posture while walking as well, with the arms by the sides instead of in front.
Are you stretching and warming up sufficiently?
Yes I am. I feel after walking 10 mins my waist start to hurt, rest days and after workouts. Like it’s hard to carry my body

That’s incredible man. How?? Did you got to PT, a physical trainer?

There’s no such thing as realigning 🤦🏻♂️
Oh and check out knees over toes guy on YouTube

Check whether you have anterior pelvic tilt. See a few videos on this. This can elevate the pain while walking.

I’m on route 💪
I'll get there at some point. I'm just going slowly as I have some severe joint problems. I have way more muscles than I did last year, though!

For the record i go to the gym pretty much every day. I just wish i could go more
