The giants had three eyes of different color, so they might have tri-cores too. I'd assume that body snatching lich blob has an Earth core since Markus got an Earth spell out of it. It kind of sucks that he didn't bother getting any of the wind cores from the batbirds though. And I guess this chapter is either confirmation that the System does ***not*** have an inventory he can use, at least not for regular physical items, or it's a setup for Markus realizing he isn't open enough to the idea of the System or something along those lines. If the system seems to automatically respond to his thoughts, you'd think if it had an inventory it'd open it if Markus thought "I wish I had an inventory", but maybe since he's thinking "It sucks that there's not an inventory", *that's* why it isn't opening one. He's not trying to figure out if there is one, he's already come to the conclusion that there isn't.

You mean if they all have tri-cores they become a better tri-core, or if they have different types of cores they combine into one tri-core? I'm not sure. I don't feel like rereading things I've already read, but I think one of the goblins he got a core from was a higher tier than the others, so I guess inter-tier core fusion is possible of they're the same type. Or, he got 4 cores and the weaker three were the ones that fused. I don't remember.

Nah I think the three eyes thing is a red herring but having 3 cores of the same creature they'll be able to fuse together

It's the pace of how they're pumping out quality chapters that's for me impressed for sure. Im worried they're gonna burn themselves out if they're not careful, I'm enjoying this series so much.

I fucking called it. Ambush predator for the win. So the identity ability is not fooled by mimics. Sure there was a wall mimic but the obvious chest mimic trope was not used. Markus better look closely on that mimic core because that monster was clearly cursed. Most camouflage predators move when they don’t encounter any prey for a long time. It sounded undead which is not something we have seen before. Also what could be in Markus’s blood that a monster that eats everything would consider poison? Microplastics?

A grade Divine mana?

Maybe mana poisoning?

Kinda wierd we got POV from the mimic, makes me think its somehow not dead.

I still want Markus to get an inventory. Maybe one of the chests he finds will be "empty", but it turns out that the chest itself is magic in some way that lets him equip it into his System to get some inventory space.
