I was literally playing one of the HL mods that take also take place in Black Mesa on that faithful day when shit hits the fan. So now the question is thus: Do I just enter Black Mesa, or that world in general? I mean, portal storm aside, it is still unclear when does the Universal Union invade after the Residence Cascade, so maybe it is possible to stall out one year...before the 7 Hour War literally wipe out 3\~5 billion humans. And if it is like that one time Marc Laidlaw said, as if it is literally days in between Residence Cascade and the the 7 Hour War...then well, shit. I mean, I will still say yes. Real life is a drab, and if I survive the 7 Hour War, it is only one year before I am back and be stinkin rich...and if I don't well, that is not the worst way to go.

Assuming I don’t age and the real world doesn’t go on without me I will say yes. I last played Half-Life 2 this is one of the best options because the later on in the timeline the better. I just have to survive the combine for a few days before Gordon frees earth. Plus I’ll get to know what happens in Half-Life 3 before anyone else.

I’ll just go one year before the resonance cascade and be fine!

How does this not go against Rule 1?
