I believe you are correct. I meant to say the only video media. But I think you’re right that there is some Spartan III action in comics centered around Noble Teams origins and the like that has some as well.
I just added the comic to my original comment lol.
Surprisingly enough the only external media about noble team in action (not just jun) AFAK is winter contention and the halo reach ads.
The TV show's depiction of them, so far at least, is radically different from the canon depiction. The most notable change is that the SIIIs in the show are adults that were recruited from the regular UNSC forces, and there hasn't been a mention of any augmentations.
Your also forgetting that these IIIs are being created 20 years after they were supposed to be. Alpha had started training in 2531, over 20 years before reach fell
Their armour also lacks any sort of camouflage capabilities, as far as I can tell (haven’t watched the show, only seen snippets), which is arguably the defining feature of the armour.
Yeah... TV show's depiction is horrible. They may as well have just skipped them and made them Spartan-IV's as they're seemingly just Marines in Spartan looking armor. Also that definitely isn't SPI armor they're wearing.
Aside from Ghosts of Onyx, there's Headhunters and the short comic Knight Takes Bishop. They're in their SPI armor (to me, that's the signature S-III armor) and rely on stealth/quick wits rather than overwhelming force.
Technically Halo Reach is also a S-III story, but Noble Team isn't a "normal" Spartan III team and the focus is more-so on the fall of Reach rather than trying to highlight what makes IIIs different or unique.
Halo reach had at least 2 live action trailers with one of them showing one of noble teams prior missions. It's a poor showing with Kat loosing an arm and Thom dying, but we take what we get.
Halo Reach one COULD say but the Spartan IIIs there are special babies who get access to Mjolnir armor, unlike the others who mostly get to eat shit and wear SPI armor
You could say Halo: Reach. But that’s less "about them" and more it happens to have them as protagonists.
They're also not representative of most Spartan IIIs, sadly
Oh, I’m aware. More just saying it is a showing.
Halo Evolution's animated comic of headhunters will help scratch the itch.
This! As far as I’m aware this is the only canon example in media of Spartan III’s in action.
I think we have a comic as well but that's it outside of books. Edit: Knight takes bishop from tales from slipspace

The TV is about to show them off. Halo evolutions “Headhunters” might be the most accurate depiction of IIIs we’ve ever had, and of course halo reach.

They honestly might as well be Spartan IVs
