It’s the one from Halo 5. It’s only 4 pitches but plays 6 separate tones. “1 2 3 2 2 2” The word note is frequently used as a synonym for both the word pitch and “instance of pitch”. The Note of Bb, vs the Note taking one best of a measure.
6 notes, but only 4 notes ;)
Ah haaa, okay! That was my big confusion, because in halo 5, it is definitely only 4 (or even technically just 3) notes and I did not hear it as seperated into 6 beats. Thank you for the clarification!!
This is like me and my spouse and our ongoing argument about whether a chickadee's song is two notes or three. I only hear two, but she insists there are two distinct articulated notes on the last pitch. I think she's generally considered correct, but I'm sticking to my guns.
It’s the tone that Cortana plays for blue team in Halo 5 when they all arrive on Genesis.
And at subsequent consoles throughout Genesis as well.
Here’s the scene from Halo 5 that others have talked about. https://youtu.be/ATjwWy8sHoM?si=6vWnbKU5OVwbvh69
This was the one bit of Halo 5 that made my little fangirl heart happy. Even though I'd never heard it, I recognized it instantly.
I love deep cuts like that, like in infinite when a password was Samuel 034. I remember audibly going holy shit what the fuck and being so happy.

It is a 6 note signal. Wee-ooh wee-oh wah-wah-wah
That's seven notes
Eh, I had a couple beers too many last night. Sounded good in my head haha
lol
It was 4 shots, like bam, bam, bam.
Fuck i just busted out laughing
My work here is done.
I dont know shit about music so correct me if I'm wrong here, but how's that 6? If the wee-ooh sound is 1 note it's 5, if it's 2 notes it's 7?
I look just Buddy Holly
Some of you never played hide and go seek as a kid and it shows
Or are from non English speaking countries.
Marines in Halo 3?
The only thing from Halo 3 I could find was Cortanas rampancy moments referencing it.
Have you tried listening to the actual tune. Because that’s it. It’s not a halo made up thing. It’s an actual game/tune
