Before that I only had one 2 piece suit that I tried to make work for everything because places like Moore's charge an arm and a leg. My older brother used to wear used suits all the time (he was a Mod and preferred 60s-inspired 3-Button suits which were not in stores at the time) and told my mom to get one at the Amity. I was already one of the poor kids so I begged my mom for a new suit and she bought me a new 2-button at the now-gone and hilariously-named S. Lees on Walnut and King.
I wore it a couple times, but always wanted a 3-button so wished I had gone with my brother's advice. To this day it bothers me that I had my poor single parenting mom spend over $100 in the late 80s for essentially a 2-3 time worn suit.
