I found it to be worth driving to Tamarack to get LVLs over buying from Turkstra.
Home depot and rona are terrible. Over 50pc twisted and useless lumber. Tamarak is great and Turkstra is a close second.
Tamarack and turkstra are contractor stores that happen to sell to the public. HD and Rona are convenience stores for contracting.
I really like "the woodshed" it's further out but they have the best quality for the price from my experience. Its too difficult finding straight grain at Rona or HD
Aitchison Lumber Ltd, some of the best in the city.
Aitchison is recommended for quality lumber and custom work.
